EXACTLY ONE MONTH FROM RIGHT NOW...
We will be sound asleep at in our room at the Anaheim HoJos!!!

One month from right now I will be waiting at O'Hare airport for my flight to leave for California. I will arrive that Wednesday afternoon and go to the Grand Cailfornian until the Sunday of our embarkation.

Can't wait . . . can't wait . . . can't wait . . . (this is a recording) . . . can't wait . . .

:confused3 Cruise Question:confused3

Anyone who is arriving early to CA for the cruise...

How are you getting from the hotel to the port?
&
From the Port to the airport?

We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel.
Thanks:goodvibes

Here you go...did you want a ? mark after still cruising? If so..lt me know and I will change it for you. Otherwise..just right click on this and you will be able to save it to your computer to print out.

Desiree - can I get the background image from you? I'd like to use it to make a magnet too. :) Thanks!

I really have to get more organized. Every night I add new dreams/nightmares. I have to thank all my fellow cruisers that brought food over the other night to share in my HUGE fantasy kitchen, and stayed the night in my HUGE beautiful house the night before the cruise. (It was the dream ;) ).
I still have left printing door signs, labeling FE gifts, trying on and putting together outfits for all of us and I am sure a lot more.
I got the basics- cruise paid for, onboard fund funded, received my rewards card, have passports, housesitter, transportation to and from airport in all ports and home, hotel in San Pedro. Everything else may or may not happen.
You have WAY more done than we do. I have piles around the house, but nothing is organized and I know my DH2B needs some new clothes and we haven't had time ot shop for it. Guess I should have been picking stuff up for him when I got myself things. Oooops! :)

Where did you read that? I have seen people report that they got pictures from both sides of the ship from the May repo. :confused3

Two people on the board have told me I am on the wrong side for the locks and to get pitures. :sad2: I do hope you are correct.:worship: :worship:

I just went online to check on our HoJo's reservation and things have changed with our booking....mainly the rate posted on their site,is NOT the rate that we were quoted over the phone!! We were given a quote of $67.20 + tax for our 1st night and I booked another night about a month later, at $99.50 + tax. Now they are trying to say that our rate is $99.50 for both nights. I know that it doesn't seem like a lot of money but it is. Kevin sent them an email this evening and will follow up with a phone call tomorrow.
I can't remember when we first booked these things or where to find anything about it on the Pirate Page. :confused3

My quote way back forever was $54 dollars a night for one kingsize bed but with no view. I gave my reesies up 8 months ago.:goodvibes

Terri I know you didn't mean anything by it. Like Laurie said, there are good & bad in every profession so I'm going to sit here & say all cops are perfect, but just keep in mind that things are not always as they appear. For instance when I read what you said about the police speeding without lights & sirens to DH, he said that it is actually SAFER for them & everyone around them to do that. He said that when they put those lights & sirens on people actually slam on their breaks & they can manuever around people much easier when they are moving along. :confused3

In my son's case a few weeks go.................he got hit by a car that was pursued by a police car right through a parking lot. The sirens and lights were not on but the other car knew he was being chased. The man hit my son's car and car was totaled excpet for a few bruises...He was okay. The only bad part is the police did not admit to chasing the car because their lights were not on. My son has no recourse to recover his damage of $10,000 from the state. The man who hit him had no insurance so my son lost his car and had to pay the deducaible. My son is at least trying to claim his medical bills of over $800 dollars which his medical insurance will not pay. The understanding is that when no lights or sirens are on....the police are not in a real chase. Therefore the police are not considered responsable. The man who hit my son was being followed for over an hour. The man beat his live in girlfriend and her son. he definitely he was in the wrong but my son is the one who ended up with the loss. the only good thing the man did not have any money and is still in jail!!!

Hey!! It's not my fault you were on the wrong side! :goodvibes
I think he was trying to say you could give me a close tie in the talking department.;) :goodvibes

We have been assigned a room...:dance3: :dance3:
Melody and Georgiana are in room 8574:goodvibes

Met up with Melody yesterday since we are at WDW and she lives a few miles for here. This is the first time we have been able to go over all the plans since she lives in FL and I live in DE. Shared the pirate: newsletters.
Now have to find the list of all the people I need to let know where we are...
Thanks again to all of you that are organizing all the super events... and helping this first time cruiser that joined the crew and ship a couple of months ago. :surfweb:
Georgiana

Congrat!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

This is for you Monica!!:flower3:

I thought it was going to be after the drill. :confused3 With a group this size maybe it should start at 2pm and continue until the sailaway. There is no way all of us can say hello to each other in a half an hour, right. I know my girls will be in the pool after lunch and DW will be unpacking.

See below Roger.:thumbsup2

Important Information!!

The sailaway meet and greet was going to be 3 pm above Scoops on Deck 10 but because of the fire drill we need to move up the time to 2 pm. I think we should also have it after the firedrill so we can pay for the lanyards and wristbands!!:rolleyes1 We would sure hate Desiree and Tina trying to track all of us for our lanyards and wrist bands.

BUT- You have the perfect excuse. I have had a year and a half to plan and I know planning my family reunion is nothing compared to a wedding! ;)

I've said it before- I am a 85-90% person. When I get stressed everything becomes "good enough".
I have no idea why I do not have more time. I work from home- get off at 2 most days and have a weekly housecleaner. I should have oodles of time! :confused3 I think I am going to start a list- that's always a good place to start. :thumbsup2

Just a friendly reminder!!!

He is AMAZING!

I thought that I read a while ago that the rebooking OBC went up to $250 for the 15 night cruise. I just called DCL to check, and they have my OBC from them listed as $250. That's a few more drinks of the day!

I am geeting $250 form DCL for rebooking and $600 from Dreams!!:worship: :worship: :worship:

Hope everyone has a great day! Congrats to all who finally made it out of the lifeboats and for those that didn't---you will soon:wizard:

I think I have sent my room number to everyone I was supposed to and signed up on the pirate board with it----I am really behind, so if I needed something else, please let me know. (I sent for SM, Lanyard, bracelets, and FE) I tried Chrissie for a name tag, but her pm box is full--will try that tomorrow.

I will post my paypal account and address Monday so you all can start paying for the Cartagena tours.

Happy birthday to all I have missed.

I think he was trying to say you could give me a close tie in the talking department.;) :goodvibes

You didn't hear what he said then :lmao: He told me that night we were on the wrong sides of him because he could still hear you :rotfl: :rotfl:

That is great!!! I asked my TA before I booked if she would match the Dreams OBC and she never really answered. She is kind of the family TA so I know my parents were more comfortable with her so I might miss out.

I was at Wal Mart Supercenter last Sunday after church and the Dropps just jumped out at me. I got a packet of 20 for around $5.00 so I should be set. also liked the fact that they work in me "He" washing machine.

I have to ask if the drill is not at its usual time of 4 with all the posts that reference it. This was probably covered long ago before I took the summer off of work, but there was no way that I could keep up with this thread when I was working 70+ hours a week. TIA!

I am sure someone has more specifics but from the "conversation" it was the drill is going to be at 3 and those that are not there by then will get their own private drill.

I was lucky Saturday at our mini meet, I sat between Cheryl and Tracy. I'm still trying to recover my hearing.:scared1:

:rotfl2:

Its a shame that given the country we live in, this is true. My dad retired after 35 years as a police officer. When I was in Jr. High, I got sucker punched (back of head from behind) walking down the street because some add my dad had arrested years before recognized me as his son.

What a joy.

Same here. We will be on the Hollywood tour that day too!

Wow! I guess I didn't talk that much! :confused3

Hope everyone has a good day. Getting up to the high 80's and humid.

Yes we will!!! :yay: But you're staying at DLH right? Just making sure. Have a good day too!

But, hey, does that really matter? :)

I want to run a piece of email by you to see what you think. I know that some of you on this thread are also DVC members. I get emailed and pm'd a lot about DVC and my thoughts, so I decided to put a little something together. I wanted to see what you all think, suggestions you might have, et cetera.

I thought that was very informative. In fact that might have helped me more when we made our decision a few years back. ;)

Woohoo! :woohoo: Congrats!

Our family is still in a lifeboat :confused3 . I keep checking about every 15 minutes...maybe later today.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

:confused3 Cruise Question:confused3

Anyone who is arriving early to CA for the cruise...

How are you getting from the hotel to the port?
&
From the Port to the airport?

We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel.
Thanks:goodvibes

DLH to port in the pirate bus & we are renting a car when we arrive in PC.

In my son's case a few weeks go.................he got hit by a car that was pursued by a police car right through a parking lot. Oh that's awful Cheryl! So sorry for your son!

One month from today we'll be on our flight to LAX!!

:confused3

Interesting... I never thought of that. Around here everyone will SLAM on their breaks if they see a cop at all, unless he's speeding by. I can't tell you how often we've had to slam ours on to do 30 UNDER the speed limit because someone saw a cop. I also love how everyone is afraid to pass a cop that happens to be doing under the speed limit LOL

He also said that the police are not so much above the law as they are exempt from many laws that citizens are forced to obey for safety reasons. I.E. no seatbelts due to their duty belts with handcuffs, gun, radio, etc. & use of cell phones, speeding, traffic lights etc.

Them using cell phones doesn't bother me... I always figured they have way more training than the average cell-phone-talking-while-driving person does. And like I said I think that's a stupid law and they could spend more time on people who are really driving dangerously (or creating laws that are really going to help). And I really did think that they had to follow the same laws.

What are you still doing up..joining those of us with insomnia?

Haven't slept well in about a week. Go to bed at about 2:00 and am up by sunrise. THAT'S why I want to go to Vegas....I always get tired and sleep well there. At least I hope so.
