Enabler Alert: There were some cool Disney things in the Stocking Stuffers section at Michael's. They had some great 6x6 journals that might be great as autograph albums or scrapbook pages. They had Tinkerbell, Cars, and Princeses. They probably had 7 or 8 different things in the $1 section and a couple more things in the $3 section.

I took Friday afternoon off with Mary K and another friend and we went to the Kohl's plaza. I had all that Kohl's cash to spend. We started with lunch a Panera and hit Kohl's, REI, Cold Water Creek, Crate & Barrel, Williams Sonoma, Barnes & Noble, and then finished up with appetizers at a bar in a Todd English restaurant. By the time we got there I had a nasty migrane (only the 2nd I've ever had). I just had a coke at the bar and that helped enough to let me drive home safely. I've still had a headache all weekend but had a nap on the couch this afternoon and that helped.

I started wrapping a few things yesterday. I think I'm pretty much done. I'm waiting for a few things to come from Amazon and Kodak and need to mail lost of things but I'm feeling pretty good about it.

We got the tree up but not decorated today.

Think I'll go to bed early tonight.

I have been searching quite awhile for the right photo album for my niece & nephew to store their autographs and possibly pictures of them with the characters. I found the perfect one today. At TJ Maxx, they had a 4x6 photo album that stores 100 pictures (or autographs). The front cover says "Believe" which is what caught my eye. They were only $2.99 each. They also had a larger version that stores 200 pictures (or autographs) with a frame for a picture in the front. I got three of those - one for each of my girls and me. They were $3.99 each. I figure we have years of pictures we can store while my niece & nephew probably won't return for many years. I really like these!

Bernadette - Sorry your haircut didn't turn out like you hoped!:scared:
DS's face looks MUCH better - it really is just a small scratch now. But if he doesn't keep his face away from the cat he will end up with another one.:headache:
I don't think TSA cares if we have pins in our bags.
I am making DH wait ont he battery until we see how this thing with Best Buy shakes out. He'll probably get one before the trip no matter what, but if we can get it with the $20 certificate towards the price then that's better than paying for the whole thing!

He really does need a 2nd battery.

Couldn't you use the Best Buy coupon for a Wii game?;)

Hey Jen, ya need to go back to the CB and check out that thread you were talking football on. :rolleyes1

Emma is making a Christmas list. She wants a "brother" for Rex. Rex is her "teddy". He's a big plastic TRex. He's quite the guy!;)

Joe wants to be able to hook up his Nintendo to the TV. I told him I didn't think he could do that but he says Santa can make something.:rotfl:

I thought she was making a Christmas list. She's showing it to Lizzy right now. She wrote that she is going to sleep with Mom & Dad on Christmas Eve.:rotfl:

I told DH I want a king size bed for Christmas.

When my cousin is here, we are going to go to NYC for a day..probably on her birthday! were pretty excited about it but have no clue where to start looking for information. She has never been there..i have only a few times..we basically want to do the really touristy things ;) ..probably wont do a show or anything because we are just planning on being there around 9am-5pm. I know she wants to do statue of liberty..and one cousin said somewhere you can get pictures on the Friends set. Anyone have any hints about nyc?

There is a studio tour at Rockefeller Center, but I do not know if the Friends set it included in the tour, Here is the site.

You can also go to the "Top of the Rock" to the 67th floor observation deck to see the skyline.

This site might be helpful too.

The top of Lady Liberty has been closed due to 9/11 but you can tour the island.

Elizabeth-your DH might like this for his new camera too. I use it take my nighttime photos and it really helps with hand holding those low light shots. I must have had it at Fantasmic????

Jennifer, I understand how you feel.

I hate that John's hours changed just a little when he accepted the desk job, but you go for longs periods of not seeing Kyle. And Glynis will go for days without seeing Alan.

:wizard: that you can get a good flight deal and that he can go with you.

She's already calling it the money pit. I don't think she needs your help in finding more stuff for him to add to the camera collection.

Cool. Where were you posting?

I was on the community board and someone posted that the tag fairy must have a sense of humor bc they gave them a tag they were a cowboys fan..and they were complaining (kiddinginly) so i said they should be cowboys fans and it got it from there!

I went over to find it. I see you were also accused of being the tag fairy and you threatened your friends. :lmao: I mean you said you had dirt on some friends if you were the tag fairy. :rotfl:

I got my luggage the other day & I love it! The color is much darker than sho:thumbsup2 wn on the website, Gary even likes the color :thumbsup2

I saw a really cute nativity at the Disney Store. It had 24 drawers and each drawer has a little (about 1") Mickey head ornament. They are 50% off right now. I almost grabbed one. However, I don't really have anything to put it on. I was really tempted though.

All snowglobes were 50% off as well as all the Christmas stuff. However, I was able to maintain control and didn't pick up anything as there was nothing there that I really needed.
Well I didn't have as much self control.:lmao: I got 2 snowglobes 50% off & then my 30% discount..$22 each!
I have absolutely no where to put them but I love them!

BUT....without the "proper" equipment he won't get the shots he wants and then he won't want to use it and then it will be a money pit.

I'm just being helpful.

To be honest.....I bought a not too expensive tripod (do you know how expensive they can be????:scared1: ). I should have bought a more expensive one that has a better more adjustable head. (I have to look into buying a new head for it....). So even though I've carried it into the parks with me I haven't actually take too many shots with it. This Gorrilla pod isn't too expensive and makes a huge difference in what you can hand hold and get a good shot or you can attach it to a railing and get a shot like this:
