Your favorite "lesser known" Christmas Songs

Cheech and Chong: "Santa Claus and his Old Lady"
Jethro Tull: "Christmas Song" and "Jack Frost & the Hooded Crow"
AC/DC: "Mistress for Christmas"
Jimmy Buffett: "Mele Kelikimaka"

Overall favorite is tied between This Christmas Eve and Old City Bar by TSO.

A regional one from the Pacific NW is Christmas in the Northwest. Always love that song.

I like a lot of mellow stuff and different stuff so here are my country based ones:

Christmas for the Cowboys--John Denver
All I want for Christmas is a real good tan----Kenny Chesney
Straw Against the Chill, All Because of Him, Nothing but a Child--Kathy Mattea
A Soldiers King and I've been Looking for Christmas ---Donny Osmond.

I love Dominic the Chirstmas Donkey!

I also love Hurry Home for Christmas as performed by Robert Goulet. I can just picture him in a smoking jacket, with a whiskey in his hand, by a fireplace, belting this one out.

And because my sister played it about 100 times every year when we were kids, I have an odd affection for Funky, Funky Christmas by NKOTB.

All I Want for Christmas is You -- NOT the Mariah Carey version. This one is by Vince Vance & the Valliants & is a totally different song. I crank the radio and really belt it out the rare times I hear it.

This is my new favorite Christmas song....just love it. First heard it a year or two ago and just can't get it out of my head!!! Not a fan of the video but love the song...

Also love all of Harry Conick's Christmas songs....listen to that while decorating the tree and sipping on eggnog.

And being from New York this one makes me cry every time....especially after Hurricane Sandy. Rob Thomas "A New York City Christmas"

Also love the Eagles "Please Come Home for Christmas".

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Snow Miser song.

"I Celebrate the Day" and "In Like a Lion (Always Winter)" by Relient k (really, that entire album...).

"Rudolph Got Run Over by My Grandma" by Bill Griffin. Not to be confused with "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer"

This is Fun--I'm gonna seek out some of these suggestions.

Two of my favorites:

Last Month of the Year-Kingston Trio This whole album is a family favorite
Hard Candy Christmas-Dolly Parton

I couldn't find a youtube version that wasn't a cover, but Belleau Wood by Garth Brooks.
