We were there that week too. I didn’t realize it was Jersey week till much closer to our trip. It was the most crowded we had been to so far! But we managed to get everything done that we wanted to do. We did MK EMM and the HEA dessert party though, so that really helped us out.

I don’t have Disney room so just tickets with fp attached. Theoretically I think I could go in and hit modify to check for FP today but I’m just not taking any chances 10days until we’re there.

I just got home :sad1: so this is just hypothetical but I am getting the "no availability in any park" messages when I try for any new FP for today again, and its only 6:00.

I don't know if this is MDE not working or that it is just that crowded. This week is the first I've ever seen it.

ETA -OK, now I'm getting some availability, so it was just an error.

The last couple nights we've been seeing that same message in the evenings and it has seemed odd- not even Philharmagic showing availability. But no matter how many times we kept trying we got that message.

I have an old non-dated ticket on my account that I can use to search for FP but only a party of 1. I just searched and in a relatively short time got Rivers of Light, Fantasmic, Illuminations, and Peter Pan but none of the huge headliners.

I have a FP for TSM, do you think I should change it to SDD since it looks like getting a same day FP for TSM is more likely than SDD? My TSM time is 1120 and it’s my last scheduled one of the day. Looks like I might have a decent shot at TSM.

of course if you can get SDD. TSM is easy same day.

Do you think many college students chose Disney for spring break? I don't between expense and crowds why would they bother unless parents are making them go and footing the bill. And yes before people start disagreeing I know there are always the few that do but on average I don't believe many are choosing to spring break at Disney. My high schooler doesn't even want to be there.

I don’t get the college break either. I didn’t know any college kids that went to Disney except for Christmas break. College and lower aged school kids spring breaks aren’t the same so it doesn’t make sense that parents would drag the college kids along. My parents went to Disney with my younger sister without me when I was in college.

My son is on spring break from college this week. No one he knows is going to Disney. If they go away they go to Mexico, DR or basically any all inclusive that’s cheap. Most just stay home because, you know, broke college kids.

My daughters spring break is the week after Easter so we wouldn’t do Disney when my sons out of school because DD is still in school. Same with most kids my son knows.

My college kid is on break now so we went to WDW. Of course she is a bigger fan than most. Actually her college has a Theme Park group and she has traveled to theme parks with them before, including Disney and Universal.

But overall, the crowds this week compared to Thanksgiving surprised me. Various spring breaks are all spread out, but Thanksgiving isn’t.

It is 10am in FL.. Not one person has used all of their fastpasses yet. Of course availability is going to be good right after opening. Post again around 3 or 4pm and see if you get the same results.
Honestly I don’t think first thing after park open is particularly helpful with refreshing, I usually get better FPs later in the day.

But I’ve never had the luck Jetsdad has! I refreshed a lot this past week and never saw any of those rides come up, I think the only mountain I saw come up with a time before 9 pm was Splash, Pooh and PP only came up maybe once each, etc. I was mostly refreshing for things like small world and dumbo and flying carpets, and even those took a few minutes to get to fit our schedule.

I’ve seen mor college kids than I expected this week, but they’re definitely not the majority of the crowds.

Our elevator on ToT the other day was 2/3 college kids though. They were nice kids but man they were loud, ha!

That happened to us a lot when we were in the parks last week. Sometimes, the incorrect "no availability" message would be replaced by available FP after a few tries, and other times we'd have to go to a kiosk in order to get additional FP (by the way, refresh works on the kiosks, too!)

Regardless, if you're getting that message long before closing time, don't give up!

Never thought of using a kiosk! We have used FP+ since the first testing days in 2013, and have not once even tried a kiosk. Good idea. Will have to try that if we ever get that message again.

No matter how many times we tried we could not get past it to get new FP.

We went for a one day trip to MK yesterday and were surprised at
The number of college aged Kids there. I said to my daughter that was with me that maybe we should have invited her college age sister to come (I’m sure she is having more fun in Canada at the Casino though:)). The lines were insane. We used our FP for
PP, Space, and BTMR, and were able to get one at noon for PoC at 7:50.

Plans are definitely needed! We hit 7 attractions from 9-11 and then spent most of the rest of the day doing what we normally don’t because of the crowds. HoP, Tom Sawyers Island, Liberty Belle. Had we not hit It hard the first two hours, I am sure
Our one day jaunt would have been disappointing.
