Wow. The new poly studios are gorgeous

Much prefer the new colors! I never liked the yellow walls (though I did at AKV ). The new carpet and the blue tones are just a little more upscale. The old rooms felt cheap. Isn’t this a year year (6 vs 7 years?). I can’t wait to see the VGF refurb.

I am not surprised since it was a soft goods refurb that they didn’t touch the bathrooms but they were my least favorite part of Poly studios. They were too large (waste of space) and dark. We don’t need 2 showers and at least in VGF they aren’t quite so massive. I would’ve liked more living room space at the Poly tbh.

I switched from hotel side to DVC studio in hopes of not getting a refurbished room because DD13 is a huge Stitch fan. Now we can maybe have Stitch and a "new" room

This studio is beautifully done. The colors are really nice. Soft new carpet, new Murphy bed, stitch on the fold down bed and in the pic over the Murphy bed. New chairs by the table. The bathrooms have new paint and shower curtain. Seems like they moved some of the art into the bathroom that used to be in the bedroom area.

So what is the schedule for the Poly refurb? Are they all done, or is it ongoing? And if ongoing, any idea when expected to be completed?

Working on tokelea now. Half of the longhouse is under refurb. Other half has guests in it. Pago Pago seems to be totally done.

I'm so excited for my stay next month. I never got an email saying my room was being moved so hopefully I'll get one of these refurbs.. I got to know though, is the Murphy bed comfortable??

If it is the same Murphy bed as Riviera than yes they are very comfortable, I liked it better than the regular bed.

The other shower with the glass door is the one to use anyway are the refillable bottles in that one also?

So glad the Maui lamp is still there! I guess that may go away with a hard goods refurb sometime, but I love the little guy,
