Would you do a Disney Cruise with no Kids?

I doubt it. My husband and I are huge fans of Holland America and have heard great things about Celebrity, as well. That said, we've been to WDW childless many times and have enjoyed it immensely. I think the difference is the cost associated with both products. DCL is priced at a premium for a product that is not comparable to premium cruise lines. WDW is the same, but I have not found that other similar resorts are of the same caliber as Disney. We are taking our two younger daughters on a DCL this November (we took our oldest daughter on one almost 15 years ago). I am sure we will have a lovely time and I am excited for the kids to get the experience the excitement of a Disney ship, however, if we were alone, we'd be sailing HAL for about 40% less and we'd be in a suite as opposed to a family veranda cabin. YMMV.

We would, but not in the summer or during any school holidays, breaks, or summer. We cruised on the Dream, utilized all the adult features one August and enjoyed it, but much prefer a more quiet time.

My husband and I have sailed DCL 7 times and we absolutely love it. There's so much to do for adults traveling without children. I'm currently pregnant with our first child and we're very excited to take the baby on the first Disney cruise next summer, but it will be a very different trip than we're used to!

I would say treat yourself and go sans kids. My husband and I recently went on one and it was heaven!

Ok for all of those who are cruisers, What deck someone said Deck 10 you can may feel the motion. We are booked mid ship with Verandah should I look and see what is available on 7 or 8? I have no clue if we will have a problem with motion sickness??? Thanks for all your help.

You will feel motion least in the very center of the ship. Both decks 7 and 8 would be fine for motion sickness - but you want to make sure that your stateroom is located mid-ship, rather than forward or aft.

Just moved to deck 9 with a larger room still midship!!! Fingers crossed we will be good :thumbsup2 Thank You

Disney Cruise Line is the best kept secret for adults. We completed 14 cruises with Disney all without children and we love Disney Cruise Lines! We have cruised on the larger ships but prefer the smaller ships (Disney Magic and Disney Wonder). We have never cruised on another cruise line and have no desire to leave Disney. We love the level of service receive, the cleanliness of the ship, and the friendliness of the crew. We do not gamble so we do not miss the casino. There are so many adult only areas, the clubs, adult pool, cove cafe, spa, Palo, Remy Castaway Cay Serenity Beach, that you could complete the whole cruise without seeing any children. We enjoy seeing the children interacting with the characters. We always complete our cruises on a positive note looking forward to the next cruise. We enjoy seeing ships crew from previous cruises and catching up with them. If you engage the crew in conversation they are anxious to talk to you about their countries and their families. Cruising on a Disney Ship is like going home for a vacation; comfortable, relaxing. We normally cruise in late January or February in the Eastern, Western, or Southern Caribbean.

Two cruises without kids and loved every minute. Will do it again and again and again:) WBTA in September will be technically without kids as DD18 and her boyfriend 19 will be with me. DD is super excited for her first cruise as an adult. She has been cruising since she turned 4 and still loves it as much as the first time.

Now that I am all booked I'm feeling like a fish out of water :fish: no clue what excursions to book at Tortola and St. Thomas :confused3 , I feel like we can do the beach day at Castaway so prob no beach excursions there but thinking of jet ski rental at Castaway (which do you just walk up to that? or prebook). No Snorkeling, I would like to site see and do some shopping at either Tortola or St. Thomas. I just have no clue, we should probably do one of the beautiful beaches at Tortola or St. Thomas (I've been to Magens Bay). So many cruisers on here, would love some of your feed back :wave2:
Thank You

Our first DCL cruise was with our kids, who were ages 5 and 8 at the time (2004). I have done subsequent DCL cruises with just my son, my son and his girlfriend, our entire family plus my son/s girlfriend, just my wife, my wife and daughter, and just myself - 19 in total.

My wife and I are doing back-to-back 5 night Dream sailings on July 7 and July 12.

I love it just as much, if not more, without kids.

We have and are planning on it again. There are many things that make cruising Disney as an adult a wonderful experience, but that's if you are a Disney fan. Otherwise, I suggest trying another line. Many choose Disney because of the kids clubs and that's a good reason. However, if you do love Disney then a Disney cruise as an adult is highly recommended.
