Would you critique my tent choices?

Not to be different, but I would go with the Eureka. I think the quality of workmanship is better. I have taken groups on backpacking trips for several years with Eureka tents. They held up very well over the years. They tape the seams but you might want to get some seam sealer to seal the corners. Look at Campmor.com for some great discounted tents, sometimes they have Eureka tents discounted.
