Just curious i'm sure theres a thread around here but too lazy to find it. Thinking of doing this with the fiance. I'd just like to get feedback from anyone who has done the ariels grotto world of color dining. =)

Did this two weeks ago.

Food was good, a little bit different than our normal "picky" tastes. We hardly ate anything from the appetizer tier they brought.

We had the trip tip, enjoyed it alot.

Way too many desserts, but they did bring us a box to take them with us.

Our res was at 5:00, we walked out at 6:05.

We did the Ariel's Grotto WOC combo last month. The food was OK for the prices, but the preferred seating for the WOC made it worth it. We did the late showing and had awesome spots.
I would not go to Ariel's Grotto for dinner if it weren't for the WOC perk. There are better places to eat at DLR for the price

We did Ariel's Grotto WoC Dining Package on Tues, July 27th. We thought the food was very good & one of our best meals!! We had a 5pm reservation & were seated very close to that time. They started us out with drinks & the bread basket with 3 dipping sauces (butter, ranch & pesto?)

Then we were asked which of the appetizer tiers we wanted: Shellfish or Roasted Vegies. We went with the roasted vegies. Since we had 10 in our party....both tables got a 3 tier...but both groups wanted the Roasted Vegies.

The 2 kids ordered the Seashell Macaroni & Cheese & the Turkey Meatball Lollipop on spaghetti. Those kids gobbled their food right up!

The 6 adults ordered: Herb Roasted Chicken, 2 on the Santa Maria Tri Tip, 2 on the Mafalde Pasta w/Italian Sausage & a Cioppino. There were no complaints at our table. The food was hot, nicely seasoned & served promptly.

The chef came out & spoke to us about our 3 yr olds special diet & he put together a plate of watermelon, grapes, cheese & yogurt just for her. I thought we took a picture...but guess we didn't.

The dessert platter (which our group got 2 of) included chocolates, fruit mousses, fruit, etc. Very pretty to look at & even tastier!!

The filmstrip was made on white chocolate!

When you pay for your dinner you receive the FP's for the show. Our tickets were for the 9pm show. They start corralling people pretty early & we got into line before 7:30. We stood on the left side & when a CM came by looking for people with the dining FP's we were escorted to a special waiting area. They started letting in the wheelchair group & we ended up being sent with them....so they let us go thru to the dining reserved seating. We were on the rail, just left of center. The only thing between us & the water was a group on the lower level in the "Wet Zone"....so no worries of kids on shoulders or climbing & sitting on cement walls, etc. The area by our railing was a walkway.....so AWESOME seats (or standing should I say....lol)

Here's a couple pics to show our view point of the show.

It was totally worth the $36.99 per adult to go this way. No long waits & great seats. The show is totally worth every penny we spent that night!!

With the WoC dining at Ariel's Grotto, is one still able to meet the princesses/have a picture taken with Ariel?

You either see the Princesses for breakfast/lunch or go see the WOC for diner.
Can't do both :sad1:

I see there are different prices for indoor and outdoor seating. How is the outdoor seating or is it worth paying more for indoor? We will be going in mid October.

Thank you so much! I am intrigued though so they offer fast passes for the show... i'm kind of torn because we are going 3rd week mon-wed in Sept so it's going to be dead. We shall see! Thank you so much for your pictures!!! :worship:

The indoor outdoor thing is only for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is indoor only. I went for dinner so I had no choice.

You have to reserve it. So even if you not sure call and get a resssie. They often sellout.

Actually you can choose indoor or outdoor. We went last Tuesday night and they asked us. We said whatever was first available and we were put outside. So glad we did. We ate at 5pm and it was so nice out there. There was a little breeze coming through and we were shaded from the sun. When my sister went a few weeks ago, they didn't ask her where she wanted to sit and they were seated inside. Outside seemed more roomy and not so cramped.
Our whole family loved it and it was very nice. The servers were attentive and always filled up our glasses (important for DH who drinks alot of water during his meals). I had made the dinner arrangements for our family and they weren't really expecting much so they were pleasantly surprised. Our dessert tray didn't have the film strip. It had some extra cookies and things on it. I don't care for white chocolate anyway. My favorite was the chocolate triangle with the crunch gold balls on it. Oh, and those little chocolate cakes. :goodvibes

Anyway, my teen boys and my DH and I love Ariel's! So glad we picked that over the other one! AND we got great spots to watch the show. Totally worth it for us!
