7 Night Alaska 6/16/2014

2A 2C
CAT 11A $3969 + $410.48 (taxes) = Total $4379.48 (OBB applied)

I'm so darn excited!!!! :cool1:

I just booked this today as well! But we booked today as we're only silver. Not sure if the price is the same as it was yesterday, but our pricing was-

2A2C (10 & 10) Cat 11B $3880.80 + $410.48 (taxes) = Total $4291.28 with OBB applied. No transfers or insurance.

I also booked this morning and we are going to Alaska!! :cool1::yay::thumbsup2:dance3: We are also on the 6/16/14 sailing and we are so excited! My DS will be 10 on the sailing. If you haven't seen it already - there is already a cruise thread for us! I look forward to chatting and planning with everyone!

9C 2A1K $3968.16 w/OBB, no INS 6/16/2014 Alaska (sorry I don't have the breakdown right now).

For some reason when I booked onboard they added the gratuities to the total bill. When I looked up the bill on my Castaway Club account it looks like it is added to the per person # but when you see the breakdown there is a separate line item for prepaid gratuities. So when I moved the cruise the prepaid gratuities stayed with it. I could ask my TA to have them removed but I just figure I'll go ahead and pay them. So the price that was quoted to me from my TA (which equaled the same total for the same cruise as IrenicMom) included gratuities. So I was just trying to clarify (especially since I hadn't gotten my confirmation and I was afraid it would be higher than I expected for a minute)

That is bizarre. So if, for whatever reason, you have to cancel right before the sail date, those gratuities to staff you never even met would be part of what you would have to fight to get back from DCL/Allianz/whichever insurance you choose. Are they going to starting adding the excursions we book to what we owe before we get onboard?

We just moved a placeholder to the JUNE 2, 2014 Alaska cruise! It is $115 cheaper than it would've been at the same time this year!

June 2, 2014, 7-night Alaska 5B category, 2A2C (15,13), $6559.28 (includes taxes) with OBB discount, no ins., no transportation

I don't have the per person breakdown yet.

9 Night Alaska May 24,2014

5A $8083.14 total 2997/2997/1197 with insurance/no transfers

We're silver as well so my TA booked it first thing this morning. My children will be 10 and 7 on the cruise. PM me if you want to meet up or if we can put our heads together and figure out excursions, transportation, etc. I'm hoping the price hadn't gone up in 1 day.

2a 1c (8) $6138 7A Jul 28, 2014 no ins./no obb/no transfers
I had the cm check on similar cruise/cabin category/date/destination etc. I was disappointed the the cost savings to book this far out at exactly 8:00 the day pricing opened was only $400 cheaper than booking now for 2013. I thought there would be a more significant savings.
:wave2: Hi lbgraves, we'll see you on 3/23!

We booked on board in December for March 2014, and we were also charged for gratuities. It was listed very clearly. I thought they had just changed it for everyone.

Same for us! We never would have been able to justify a suite without the 25% discount. This is our "splurge" cruise thanks to Hurricane Sandy! ;)

Booked yesterday thru TA as a silver.

May 19th 2014
5 Day San Diego-Vancouver
7A $1839.34 $860/$860 + fee $119.34 no insur no transfers

May 24th 2014
9 day Alaska
7A $4488.04 $2138.40/$2138.40 + 211.24 fees
Used OBB with the 10% discount

4-Night Vancouver to San Diego September 8, 2014

2A2C (5, 2)
11B
$1459.36 (400/400/280/140 + $239.36 taxes & fees)
No ins/OBB/transfers

Will be reshopping this one onboard in May. Whether or not we actually do it will depend entirely on travel expenses to Vancouver. Disney wanted $2k for flights. :sad2:

ETA: So, if I'm clever, travel might only be ~$900 for four. Fly BUR to SEA, train SEA to VAN, sail to SAN, train from SAN to BUR.

Everything to this point entered in first post. Thread ready to close since opening days are over. :)
