Whispering Canyon Cafe or ‘Ohana for MK day?

Not the OP either but we just ate at WCC a week ago. It was out second time this year and there were antics both times. This time we were sat in the little patio area in the back instead of the main dining room. We had napkins rained on us and our server told us to throw something at her if we needed to get her attention. She got onto us later for not throwing anything at her. One of the other tables in our area was covered in ketchup bottles. The earlier visit had the kids horsey walk and the bill came to DH complete with jail cell window. The antics are definitely back.
We went for breakfast (9am) last week and had the opposite experience. No antics (the ketchup bottles moved once during our entire breakfast).
The food/service seemed consistent (not stellar, the only thing that was not good was the bacon - flavourless).
We go every trip, so we have probably been at least 10 times (This was our 2nd post-covid and one during covid where there were no antics). Each time varies.

.... Steakhouse 71 - Breakfast/Brunch is hard to beat in food quality, at least in the MK area.

But between your two options, and if you clearly trying to take a break for a few hours.. the boat ride over to the Wilderness lodge, is different and it is "a ride", and the Resort is beautiful and fun to explore.

Too be honest I prefer Kona Café at the Polynesian for breakfast... those Character breakfast buffet prices are only justifiable if you really want the Character experience. If you have little ones that are really into Lilo & Stitch it might be a priceless experience. If all adults and you just want breakfast, Kona has the same stuff without the Character premium.

We’ve been to all three meals several times and I have noticed that they always do fewer, if any antics, during breakfast. Our last two meals this year were during dinner. Maybe it takes the restaurant a while to wake up?

That could very well be the case. Normally we have "breakfast" after noon (before they close at 2:00pm).

We went for lunch (2pm, last ones in the place) and they were still messing around when we were the only ones there! We loved the food too - got one breakfast skillet and one carnivore skillet. Maybe they're quieter with their antics at breakfast?

Thanks again everyone. We decided to go with WCC because the late lunch time is a better time for a break than a late breakfast at ‘Ohana. Thanks for your help!

We are planning a late lunch at WCC during our Mk day in mid August. If we book for 1:50pm or so will they rush us out at 2pm or could we at least spend an hour or so in there to eat? Also, how long is the boat ride over to WCC? Thanks!

We Love WCC food is great as well as the atmosphere, we stay at WLV a lot so its great because of the location
