Which water park would you choose?

For a 14 and an 8 year old?
We haven't been to WDW before and my kids really have no clue.

I would go with Blizzard Beach! I have been to both BB and Typhoon Lagoon and enjoy BB more. The theming is wonderful and the slides, and racing runs on "sleds" are excellent! Good Luck. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It looks like we are going to BB and TL. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We've never been to a water park before, but River Country is older. Typhoon Lagoon is the second oldest, and BB is the newest, not that age matters (I should know! I did a report on WDW rides and attractions!) In one of my WDW books it says this about RC, BB, and TL:

(wriiten exactly from the 1998 Birnbaums Disney; haven't gotten 2000 yet /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )

TYPHOON LAGOON:
"A frurious storm once roared 'cross the sea
Caatching ships in its path, helpless to flee,
Instead of a certain watery doom,
The winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

So reads the legend that guests see as they approach TL, a 56 acre aguatic park. The watery playground was inspired by an imagined legend: A typhoon hit a tiny resort village many years ago, and the storm -- left the village in ruins. The locals, however, were resourceful and rebuilt thier town as best they could.
The center piece of TL is a huge watershed mountain known as Mount Mayday. Perched atop its peak is the Miss Tilly, a marooned shrimp boat origianlly from Safen Sound, Florida. Miss Tilly's smokestack erupts every half hour, shooting a 50-foot flume of water into the air.
The surf lagoon is huge; thrilling slides snake through caves; tamer ones offer twisting journeys; and tiny slides entertain small kids. What follows is a description of TL activities.

TYPHOON LAGOON: The main swimming area contains nearly 3 million gallons of water, making it one of the worlds largest wave pools. The Caribbean-blue lagoon is surrounded by a whitesand beach, and its main attraction is the waves that come crashing to the shore. The less adventurous can loll about in two relatively calm tide pools, Whitecap Cove and Blustery Bay.

CASTAWAY CREEK:
This 2100 foot circular river that winds through the park offers a lazy, relaxing orientation to TL. Tubes are free and are the most enjoyable way to make the trip along the 3foot deep waterway. The ride takes guests through a rain forest, where they are cooled by mists and spary; through caves and grottoes that provide welcome shade on hot summer days; and through an area known as Water Works, where "broken" pipes from a water tower unleash showers on helpless passersby. The current is calm, and aside from a few floating props, the journey is unimpeded. There are exits along the way, where guests can hop out for a while and do something else, or just dry off a bit and then jump right back into the water. It takes 25-35 min. to ride around the park w/o taking a break."

I'd go with River Country it's not as exciting as the other two but it's still cool and it'sw better for the younger kids.

I pray to the Tigger gods!

Definitely Blizzard Beach. Typhoon Lagoon is fun, but not nearly as fun, but it does have a better wave pool than BB. But you can spend a whole lot more time at BB.

Blizzard Beach is definitely the best water park. The lines are not that bad and the slides are all so good. If you are going to pick one to go to make it Blizzard Beach. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I would think that Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon would be the best.

I went to all 3 last year and they were all great!!!
Blizzard beach would probably be the best one. It has great things for both kids to do. I am 14 and my brother is 8 and we both loved it!! (Also, Travel Channel rated it the 2nd best water park in the US-Schlitterbahn being the best)
River Country- I liked it but my brother didnt really. I found a great water slide and rode that the whoel time.
Thyphoon Lagoon-It has the best wave pool in the world!!!! At like 3 feet out they go staright over your head!!! Thats all we really did there because it started to rain really hard so we went back to the hotel.
Hope I helped!!!
