Wow.

My wife is an Army brat, but somehow lucked out. Born in Georgia, spent 7 years in Germany, and moved back to Georgia. Her dad never had to change bases again in the 13 years that followed to retirement! He also got a contract job in the exact same building on post, and worked for another decade.
