Which resorts are on your "wishlist" and which are you not interested in?

I have yet to stay on-site, but I will be staying at CSR in February!!
Very excited about the newly refurbished rooms. They look beautiful.
I really wanted to stay at the Contemporary, but couldn't justify the HUGE price difference.
Also, would love to stay at the Poly.
I have little to not interest in any of the Boardwalk resorts, as I'm from the Northeast and the point of going on vacation, for me anyway, is to look at something different! I so wish that there were a more modern/contemporary style resort there, because I have to admit the location can't be beat.
But I'm super exicted about CSR!!

I have only been to CBR and POP

I would like to try:

1. BLT-MK view
2. WL
3. AKL
4. CSR
5. POFQ

Not so interested in
1. Any of the all-stars, least of which sports. Not our thing.
2. BWI. I spent many summers at the real Jersey shore on boardwalks, so this doesn't seem "disney" or "special" to me.
3. Fort Wilderness.
4. BC same reasons as BWI
5. CR. Even though I like the BLT, I would not choose CR if I were paying for a deluxe.
6. SSR--too out of the way for a deluxe, if I were going to pay for a DVC, I'd upgrade to BLT or VWL
5. OKW--same as SSR
6. POP. Stayed there once and that was fine, but I think I need a place where there is more relaxing theming.

Ambivalent about these--wouldn't turn them down, but they are so low on my list we probably wont ever stay there, unless there is some special magical code good only at that specific resort.

1. Poly. It just doesn't speak to me
2. CBR (I loved it both times, but not so much that I wouldn't want to try others, unless I have a kid who loves pirates someday)
3. Swan/Dolphin. I think we will only stay there if there is an amazing deal.

Are we talking strictly on site Disney resorts? Then I have no wish list as I have already stayed at the ones I would be interested in such as the boardwalk, contemporary, grand floridian, yacht club, and the wilderness lodge.

BWI- very nice, will return
Contemporary- huge rooms, great staff-will return
GF- meh- more than likely won't return- terrible service
Poly-NEVER again- CMs not enthusiastic or knowledgeableturn
WL- magical, will return
YC-ok but not likely to return

not WDW:
Swan- great place, would return
Dolphin- love it here and would return

Mod:
CBR- too big, bus service not fabulous
CSR- LOVED this resort- great staff and food court, will return
Fort Wilderness cabin- family favorite- roomy and quiet
POFQ- pretty but we go to New Orleans all the time, would return if staying mod and CSR or Ft. Wilderness not available.
POR- nice but see above and less likely to return


Wish list:
BLT- staying here in April
AKL- when we have grandkids so they can see the animals

The only places I am interested in staying at that I haven't yet are:

CR Tower MK view (not gonna happen in my life time!) or BLT the 2 roomer.

I have stayed at the Poly & will do that again. I have stayed at the BC & will do that again.

I have no desire to stay at the Pop, or any of the All Stars. I did Sports & hated it.

I have no desire to stay at any Mods either as I'd miss my sliding glass door to let in the light.

I have no desire to stay at the Boardwalk just because it doesn't appeal to me.

AKL is to far away & if I am going to stay there I can just stay at a Mod or Value for less (it has to do with the buses & I hate taking them).

WL, been there & not overly fond of it but I'd stay there again but not my entire trip.

Fort Wilderness, hmmm...maybe when I am older I might like that for the peacefulness (or I get that vibe that it is peaceful).

GF, been there, done that & it's not for me.

Realistic Wishes:
Swolphin (but it just bites that you can't get DDP, etc. here)
The mods all seem so far away from everything...but POFQ and CSR get such amazing shout outs that my interest is piqued.

Not Gonna' do it:
Values. DH would hate it. (Maybe when we have kids?)
The Poly. I don't think you could pay me to stay in Brady Bunch Land. (Ok, I bet I would stay there if it was free....)
DVC properties confuse me. No mousekeeping? And this is vacation? BUT, some of the room pics I've seen are over the top GORGEOUS.

Maybe one day I'll get to go, and then I will have a more informed opinion.

Sigh. Till then, I'll keep dreaming of the Beach Club - I love the themeing!

FW cabins and campground... I HATE CAMPING.

I hate camping, too, but I stayed at the cabins in 2002 and I didn't think it felt like camping at all. But I wouldn't bother unless you need to sleep more than 4, and/or you want a kitchen.
