Where did you have your Wedding Reception?

I am planning a Disney Wedding in May 2009 with Approx 40 people. I was wondering where people have had their wedding reception on Disney?

I would love to see pictures and likes/dislikes about the location.

Does anyone have a full list of all locations you can have your wedding reception on Disney?

Also, if you have your reception at a Theme Park do your guests have to pay for admission into the park?

Thanks :)

This website has lots of pictures of the locations.

If you have your reception at a theme park, you do not have to pay for admission. The one exception to this is if you have a dessert party -- then you have to pay a viewing fee (around $12.50/person) unless your guests use their tickets.

I hope this helps!

wait? How do you get in the park if you dont pay admission?

They escort you into the park. You have to stay in the area of the reception --- you can't just go ride rides or anything. You will have Disney employees with you every step of the way. (This is why you have to use the charter bus for I think all of the park locations with the exception of the dessert parties (depending on your planner)) :)

Here are the standard reception locations. I get the feeling you could have one just about anywhere if you paid enough! ;)

The Mouse Weddings web site http://www.mouseweddings.com/wdwcustomwedrec.html also has some great pictures of the reception locations. We were originally only going to have around 40 and were considering the American Adventure Rotunda or the Attic. I highly recommend both places after seeing them during our site visit. We now have almost 70 coming, so we had to change locations.

We just got married in December and had 40 people.
We picked the Whitehall room and patio at the Grand Floridian. We had an evening wedding so it was nightime once the reception began. It was perfect. Just beautiful!. It looks like a small room but we wanted more intimate since we had only 40 people.
Plus the outside patio was great for the pre-reception and we timed it right that the MK fireworks were going off while guest enjoyed the pre-reception. Whats cooler than sipping wine, enjoying great appetizers and having the monorail zoom overhead and fireworks and Castle in the distance.
I have not been able to post photos on my wedding post on these boards but I did have some links on my post on W d W magic .com.
My wedding post on this board and there are both under the same thread title "Surprise Wedding" (by Teenchy).

Hi there. We were just married in December and our reception was at the Living Seas. It was beautiful and the perfect size!!! We had 43 guests. We then had a dessert party at the Upper France location. Good luck!! We've been really bad about getting Randy the photos for our album, so I don't have the CD yet... oops... :confused3 I will fish through our personal photos and see if I have any good ones from the Living Seas... but if you search the forum, I remember a few girls had some amazing well-lit pics of the inside.
