I'll be at Pop Century, my go-to value. Can't beat the proximity and easy transport situation to the expo, which has long-been my least favorite part of Marathon Weekend.
We are renting a home in Champions Gate. First time we have stayed there but it looks like it should be nice. We are staying for 11 days, have multiple families coming in, and a few people coming in just for the races; this helps us be more flexible and it is much more cost effective for a longer stay. I am already a little wistful about not being at POR for the first time in six marathon weekends, but I am excited to see how commuting goes and having a private pool will be nice.
I used the pool and hot tub at my parents' house every day during Dopey. The cold water of the pool felt incredible and was restorative to my feet and legs after the race. And the hot tub was awesome to relax in before getting a good night's sleep.
If the day of the Marathon is anything like today, you won't care whether that pool is heated or not. It will feel amazing.
Let me know if you need help with directions in from there - my parents live on the opposite side of property from Champions Gate. You're on the easy side to get in though - especially on half and full days.
I'm finally living in Windermere 5 minutes behind MK, does anyone(locals) know if the Reams rd (back entrance of MK) is accessible the morning of the half and full.It will make getting to Epcot a lot easier than going down 535 to I-4 or Buena Vista Dr.Maybe I can sleep 60-90 more minutes than what I usually get for the Disney races.
Are there road closure maps so I can figure out how to best get to the races every day from Bonnet Creek? No buses, so I have to drive or take Uber.
It's open, but I can't tell you how the traffic flow is going down the narrow corridor on Floridian Way because of Cone Alley. It was pretty backed up already for the Half this year when I tried going that way (Reams > Center > Floridian Way) - and then Reams > Center > World Drive was a 100-percent no-go, even at 4:30ish.
My parents live off Apopka-Vineland (535) and our easiest (and quickiest) way was Hotel Plaza Blvd. to Buena Vista Dr. and then hit World Drive and the parking lot from that direction. I know that doesn't help since you're far closer to Reams.
Glad to hear that since that's where I am staying. We're booked at Saratoga Springs, third straight marathons weekend there. Really like the proximity to Disney Springs for post-race walks (and eats & drinks!) and the bus ride to the starts is really quick.

Staying at Pop Century - first time on a solo trip, and first runDisney experience - sounds like I made an ok choice for the hotel, though I wish I could spring for POFQ
