When Do You Know Your Dining Rotation?

We haven't cruised DCL in many years. We will be sailing out of NY in a few weeks. My check in was just finalized and it sounds like there is no more check in desk where you receive your room card and you will receive it outside your stateroom. We were hoping to try to grab a Palo ressie based on our rotation but if we don't get our card with the rotation noted on it until later, that puts us behind the eight ball with heading right down to try for that. Does anyone know what night Pirate night is on a 4 night sailing (NY) and also wondering, without having the card right away, how do you go about charging things etc?

We first found out when we logged into the DCL App at the port.

Our card no longer shows the dining rotation.

You should be able to determine when Pirate Night is today by looking at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservations in the app. The only night they offer pirate makeovers is Pirate Night. That should tip you off.

And as dvcdisney stated, when you're sitting at the port before boarding, you can use the ship wifi and see your rotation in the app.

You can figure out when pirate night is by checking which day they offer pirate makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

If you want to charge things to your room (for example, a Rainforest Room pass) before you have your Key to the World card, you just need to provide your room number. Cast members will be able to bring up your photo (submitted during Online Check-In) to verify your identity.

My friend is on the 4 night Bermuda right now and Pirate night was the second evening.

That was not the case for us on the current Bermuda cruise. Pirate makeover was able to be booked on Night 3 but we had pirate night on night 2. Also the dining rotation was 1123

There was a disconnect on sign ups for pirate night at BBB. Our cruise 10/31 had pirate night makeovers on the wrong night (which we didn't know at the time) and I booked Palo based off of it. Concierge people had different days for the pirate night than what was shown during platinum sign ups, so inquiries were made of DCL. Several days later, BBB pirate makeovers were moved to the correct day.
