What's your rack rate?

So every once and a while I'll look on Disney's website to see what they are charging for our villas. I just checked out Disney's rack rate for our upcoming December stay....it's CRAZY what a non-member who has no discount would wind up paying! Just out of curiosity...what's your rack rate?

Here's mine:

2011 Fall Season runs Oct. 23 - Dec. 22, 2011

Dec. 2 BWV 2 bedroom - $770
Dec. 3 SSR 2 bedroom - $630
Dec. 4, 5, 6 Jambo 2 bedroom value villa - $705/night - $2115

Total - $3,515...WOW! I'm so happy we are DVC!

Here's mine including taxes:

BCV- 2 bedroom June 12-18------$5,873

AKV Jambo savanna view studio -Oct. 16-21-------$2,700

total--$8,573

annual dues----$1,700

10/7 - 10/12 BWV Standard Studio + $3,038

Total = $3,803

We are also very happy we are DVC Members !

The way we see it, we will recoup the price we've payed for our small DVC contracts in about three or four more stays.

4 nights in Kidani 2BR standard - $3982 + $442 (tax) = $4424
4 nights in BLT-LV studio - $2160 + $240 (tax) = $2400

GRAND TOTAL: $6824!!

And to think, due to DVC points, my previously purchased AP (with DVC discount), purchase of meal plan and unused Southwest Airline travel funds...these 3 nights/4 days will cost about $250 all-inclusive for myself!!! Sweet deal!

Don't forget to add the 12.5% room tax. That would bring your total to just under $4,000
I usually get studios so those are "only" about $400 per night. The last two times that I took family with I reserved a 2BR (different family members on each trip). Once at Kidani and once at BWV (Boardwalk view). Both times they asked how much the room would be. Both times it would have been over $800 per night (with tax). They could not believe it.

Of course without DVC we would be staying in a regular room, but this fun nontheless (thanks Superwendy), to look at the rates Disney actually charges:

June, 1 Bedroom Lake View 5 Nights $2,320+290 (tax)= $2,610

November 2 Bedroom Boardwalk, Garden View 3 Nights $2240+305 (tax)=$2,745. Our first night of this trip is a rack rate of $900 , who pays that!?

Total for both trips $5,355 (8 nights total).

Only been a member about a year, but I Love my DVC

AKV CL Studio Nov 27-Dec 3 - $520 a night or $3322.

Vacations added together come out too $ 9037.45! That's alot for just rooms. Next year though we're upgrading and only doing 1bdrms lol.

Rack room rate for six nights for our 2bedroom BLT in May:

BWV (I have a boardwalk view studio, CRO just does 'standard' when you book cash)

5 nights $395/night+tax = $2221.90

Then we jump over to BLT, standard view studio and there was a standard view studio option to book through CRO:

5 nights $455/night+tax = $2559.35

Grand total if we paid cash for our next trip = $4781.25

2-bedroom at BWV = $870/night x 5 nights = $4350 + tax = $4893.75
1-bedroom at OKW = $470/night x 4 nights = $1880 + tax = $2115

Total for 9 nights = $7008.75

Dont need park tix this trip. Still working off old Hoppers.

Free Dining would cost Rack ($5727) with $1152 of Free Dining credits included. Plus $90 memory book and required Park tix. I would also have to add 1 night to qualify for FD for the last leg. That's IF it was offered during June for our units, which it is not unless you booked by Dec 2010.

Grand total for our upcoming 2 week stay is $11,474 with tax, rack rate. We are using 518 points for this stay, so the maintenance fees are around $2500. We also have a couple of nights at Universal from 6/3 - 6/5. We are getting a discount on those rooms, as we are AP holders.

I was shocked when I just did this...

AKV - 2BR Savannah view June 6 -16

This wasn't available so I had to pick 2BR Concierge Suite which came to $17,156!!!!

Dividing that number by 591 (which is the total nuber of points that would have taken) gives me a value of $29.03/pt

Multiplying that $29.03 by the 484 points it actually cost me gives me a grand total of $14,050.52

Wonder if I could use this math to convince DH to buy some more points

BCV 5 nights 2BR: $770.00 per night plus tax.

total points: 530. I didn't pay MF on 200 of them b/c we just bought the contract and only paid for the 2011 MF's, so my MF costs are about $1700.

Total rack rate cost of the trip, 9 days, tax included: $12,296.25

Renting points off the Dis for OKW studio - $770 (77 pts @ $10 each).
