March 2020. We sat outside on a loading dock signing the closing papers in assembly-line fashion with other homebuyers as the title company scrambled to get sales finalized before shut-down orders went into effect the next day. The whole process took ten minutes, was far more efficient than our previous closing experiences, and I knew then that home buying would never be the same again.
