what is your career/ job? when did you start to love Disney?

I'm an engineer. I work in product support for military aircraft ground support equipment.
I grew up on Disney, so I don't remember a time I didn't love it. We went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 15 months old (my two older sisters begged to go when we were out in CA for my aunt's wedding). The Little Mermaid came out when I was 2.5, so I grew up on the Disney Renaissance.

I work in accounting. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t love Disney. There is a photo of me right after I learned to walk, toddling around with a stuffed Mickey under one arm and a stuffed Donald under the other. I also don’t remember my first WDW trip (the first year they were open), but supposedly I cried all the way from the park back to the car, saying I would never get to come back. I still shed a tear or two when I leave, but I know I will probably be back.

I'm in wastewater...and I guess my enjoyment of Disney came the first time we took our kids when they were 5 & 7 (we had been for our honeymoon and one other trip pre-kids). That's when we started going every year or almost every year. Kids - they never really cared for it and far preferred to go elsewhere!

I work in Human Resources. I went to Disney 2 times as a kid. I loved it but it didn't start my obsession. While pregnant with my first son my husband and I wanted one last trip. I worked with a friend who had done the college program at Disney twice. She convinced us to go on vacation to Disney World. We loved it and were hooked right away!

I'm an analyst, but wish I was an Imagineer! Grew up on the Space Coast and my first trip to the MK was in October 1971, although I di not make it to Disneyland until I was an adult. Grew up on Wonderful World of Disney and reruns of the Mickey Mouse Club, and the first movie I remember watching in a theatre was Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

Renaissance Man. 1960s watching walt on TV (thank goodness parents were not Welk fans). Arrived at the age of 8.....so this is where Dick and Jane live....because they for sure not living in Joshua Tree.

I was also born during the Renaissance, retired cop. We took DD18 to WDW when she was not quite two, and had an eventful trip.

First, I captured one of the most amazing expressions of delight I've ever seen on her face during a Main Street parade, and I was sold.

The next evening, she had a total meltdown at Epcot. She was dressed as Cinderella and I actually had to call WDW lost and found and report that Cinderella had lost her slipper! Prince Charming and the slipper never showed.

Like a new father, I was grumpy about her behavior the night before, so I didn't go to the park with she and Mom the next day. Instead, I went to SSR and took a DVC tour. I liked DVC, but didn't buy.

Fortunately, when we returned home I searched online for DVC info and the best thing I discovered was the DIS! I also learned about resale and bought DVC.

We've all grown up a little in the past 16 years, but we still love WDW. We don't visit 3-4 times a year like we used to, and no longer own DVC, but we do visit occasionally. DD is now in college at UCF in Orlando, and I'm sure she will take advantage of their student discounted tickets.

I'm a bookkeeper. One trip to Disney at age 5 with my dad, one trip at 13 with my middle school band on a festival trip, and Grad Nite at Disneyland (where I didn't even ride anything since my friends just wanted to dance at all the "clubs"). So it wasn't until my BF (now husband) surprised me with a trip in 2006 that I truly caught the Disney bug. We lived north of Anaheim and could get there within a few hours. We took a few more trips there, then when we got married, we planned our first WDW vacation. (We were also hoping to experience a space shuttle lift off at KSC, but alas, it was postponed.) We've been hooked ever since. AP holders at DLR for a few years, then Disney Cruise (where we bought into DVC Aulani, thanks to an inheritance. We thought his dad would have wanted us to take time for family vacations, and thought it a wise use of money. We don't regret it.) While I've been to DLR many, many times since 2006, I am now planning our 3rd trip to WDW since Alaska, Hawaii, and California are closed.

My first movie in a theater was 101 Dalmations, so I've always loved Disney movies.

Saw something yesterday that said (paraphrased), "You don't love Disney; you just haven't been happy since age 11." It's kinda true for me, I guess. Struggled with depression since middle school years. My Disney vacations, movies, and music are a bright spot in my cloudy life.

Retired from the IT industry. I grew up watching Disney in the 50s. My first visit to a Disney park was Disneyland when I was 24. It was fun, but I really didn't get that into it until my daughter was born. I took her to Disney World when she was 4. It became our special place.

I work in accounting. We went to WDW on our honeymoon in 1976 and I fell in love with WDW. We took the kids several times and now that we are empty nesters we go yearly. I also watched Wonderful World of Disney as a kid.

I’m a sonographer. I went to WDW a few times as a child. I fell in love after taking my daughter on her first birthday. She’s three now, her sister is one, and we go a few times each month. We actually went to MK today. I have so made so many precious memories there. Disney will always be special to me.

I work in accounting. I never visited as a child (grew up in the midwest and moved to FL in high school), but loved the movies of course. I honestly had no real desire to actually go to the parks until about 15 years ago DH suggested it. He had been as a kid. We went and loved it. I think the following year was the Year of a Million Dreams where you got free admission on your birthday. We went twice that year :)
In the years after that, we had some rough times, but went often with our APs - we could forget life for a day or 2 and just be happy. I'll always love it for that. :lovestruc

I have not had one career. First a firefighter (9 years), then a police officer (7 years), then an insurance investigator (7 Years) and last a insurance agent (21 years), retired now. First visit was to Epcot in 1990 for one day, meh. Next visit was 1995 with our then 2 & 3 year old kids. Got hooked on Disney on that trip.

Investment banker. Went for the first time about four years ago when I was 45 and was surprised how much I loved it. We've been back to WDW once since and been to DisneyLand for the first time since. We'd planned to be in WDW in a couple weeks and cancelled. We're looking at Paris Disney in the near future as well, assuming the world calms down.

I'm on disability now, but was an illustrator and designer of holiday decorations for a company in Philadelphia. After they outsourced their talent I freelanced for some years.

My love of Disney started when I was given a set of Disney books when I was a kid in the mid-70s. There were four big books, each a different color and they were each about a different subject-science, nature, etc. One of them had a section on the then new Walt Disney World, and my sister and I fantasized and dreamed about going for many many nights. We didn't have much in my family, certainly not enough for a vacation to WDW, so I didn't get to go until I was in my 20s in 1992. It was obsession at first sight. My sister and I have been going regularly on 'Sisters Trips' since 1994. Haven't been since 2017, but are in the early planning stages of a trip next December.

I work in marketing and from a business perspective I have always been fascinated by Disney but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I became truly enchanted by it. We went several times when I was a kid and I loved it but as an adult I am OBSESSED! I think it has a lot to do with recapturing that spirit and innocence of youth - the exhilaration you feel with fast rides and sugary treats, the sense of wonder and comfort in all of the little details. It just makes my heart swell and I get a little emotional every time we roll under that Walt Disney World sign when we enter.

I worked as a manager for a large chain gas station. Did it for 9 years and miss my job. Cant say I am in love with disney

I'm an account specialist. I grew up in Orange County, Ca so Disneyland was in my backyard. We went every year for my birthday. One year I decided I wanted a birthday party instead, never made that mistake again.

I'm an occupational therapist. I grew up loving everything about Disney, and our daughters have as well. Our first trip to Disney World as a family was in February 2018 when they were 6 and 8 years old. We're going back for our second trip next year, and everyone is already really looking forward to it!
