What food that you aren't allergic to do you usually have a bad reaction to?

Dairy. It's not an allergy, but lactose intolerance. Fortunately, I do very well with Lactaid products/pills.

Also tequila. I don't physically react badly, but it's the only alcohol that makes me angry. Everything else makes me either sleepy, happy, or both.

Right now anything fried, spicy or fatty. I've had GERD for years and have had no issues since I take nexium but the last 6 months that hasn't helped. Once a month or so I get horrible attacks with back and abdominal pain, diarrhea and throwing up for 24 hours. Doc has decided it might be either an ulcer or gall bladder. Can't get an appointment with specialist until mid April. She did give me some other meds to take daily and some to take to ease it if I have another attack. She thinks there is not a specific food that is triggering it but I'm pretty much on bland food right now.

So on top of having to be careful due to acid reflux issues, I actually thought I was becoming allergic to peanuts a few years back (which btw would’ve devastated me-i love peanut butter too much).

Turns out depending on other allergies you may have, you can have a type of seasonal syndrome/illness (I forget the exact title of mine but it involves fancy words) that causes you to think you have an allergic reaction to something when in reality it’s just everything else causing issues.

So for me when the season change (especially winter into spring and summer into fall) I try to avoid peanut products for a couple of days until my mold/dust/pollen allergies subside. And then I’m fine again.

The only thing I can remember eating and having a bad reaction to is raw oysters on vacation a few years ago. Was so nervous about trying one but loved it, so had a couple more. They made me so sick, then later learned that as a diabetic I shouldn’t eat them because of a certain bacteria they sometimes have. It could kill a person.

Fresh pineapple, walnuts, kiwis and sometimes strawberries all can cause ulcers in my mouth. I can only eat a very small amount of them. If they are cooked/in a baked good, I do not have this issue.

Any artificial sweeteners causes headache and stomach upset.

Add Indian food to my list. It is murder on my acid reflux. I had it for dinner yesterday and it took me 5 Gaviscon to get through the night (on top of my prescription meds). Worth it once in a while though. :goodvibes

No you can't.
There is more and more evidence every year that supports diets with low or no carbohydrates like keto/carnivore have significant positive impacts on all kinds of autoimmune diseases like Lupus, Crohn's, RA and even MS. It's not just anecdotal evidence there's dozens of published studies on the NIH website.

So maybe there is a world where eating a 3 pound smoked Turkey Leg could be considered healthy. ;)

There are also more and more studies showing how much this type of diet raises your risk of heart disease and colon cancer. You are just trading one bad thing for another.

Time and time again, the people who live the longest eat a varied diet with foods from all food groups.
