Coming to California from Feb 25 to Mar 9 ...

Plan on traveling between LA and San Diego between those dates.

Recommendations of things to do in the area. Studio tours? Anything Disney besides the Parks.

Lego Land, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Los Angeles Museums, skiing, Catalina Island, whale watching...to name a few

Warner Brothers Studio Tour (Pretty sure all of the studio tours are actually north of DL, but since you mentioned it, I think this one is the best.), Discovery Cube Science Center, South Coast Plaza (shopping), San Diego Zoo...

I'd recommend Coronado Island, which is right by San Diego. It has a charming downtown area and lovely beaches--you probably won't have great beach weather for your trip, but they'll still be pretty!

San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Torrey Pines State Reserve, Irvine Spectrum Center, Balboa Park (beautiful park in San Diego with lots of museums and the zoo), Old Town San Diego. As someone else mentioned, Coronado is beautiful! There's also La Jolla. You can walk along the beach and see the Sea Lions, then head up to Mount Soledad for a great view of San Diego. Cabrillo National Monument also has a great view, a lighthouse, and beautiful tide pools.

plan is to drive from LAX to San diego and spend the first few days of trip in San Diego as would rather avoid the Oscar crowds ... any stops recommended between LAX and San Diego?
