What do you wish you knew on your first cruise?

1. You don't need those huge packing lists. Pack, then take half out!
2. Park and cruise packages at hotels. First time we paid to park at the dock. I still cringe at that.
(Never cruised Disney, so this is just a in general cruise list. )

MsMamaBear, can you explain the difference (I'm assuming money) in parking at dock and at a hotel. Is there a hotel that you recommend? We are leaving from port carnival and was planning on parking at the dock. Thank you for any advice

I wish I knew that Disney Cruises are not only great for families but for adults as well. I stayed away from DCL for many years being a single adult and thinking I would not fit in. I started cruising with Disney as a single adult in Sept 2010 and I've already completed seven cruises.
