Welcome show on EMH mornings in the off season?

Does MK typically run it's full welcome show on EMH mornings? Particularly in the off season. My husband's co-worker wants to try for family of the day for his kid's birthday. But something is telling *me* they'd be better off trying the next day when it's a regular open. Am I wrong? I don't want to stop them if it's somehting they can really pull off, but I'd hate to see them disappointed by no one getting picked too

Bump!
Also, I forgot to add, they aren't staying on property - over at the nickelodeon suites instead. Will this mean Family of the Day is a no-go simply because they can't attained EMH anyways?

My assumption would be that its not possible. Without staying on property, they wouldn't be allowed in the turnstiles on EMH to see the opening show. I don't think they would choose a family that would have to be escorted back out of the park after the show.

I think they do the opening show on EMH, but only at the start of EMH and not again at regular park opening. Their best bet would be to go on a nonEMH day, get their early, be excited and friendly to the CMs. But warn them there is still no guarantee that they will get chosen just because it's the sons birthday. There are a lot of families there who have birthdays, in addition to everyone else there that morning who could be chosen

Thanks! This is what I was thinking. But I didn't wanna scare them off til I was pretty sure. It's not MY vacation, but I feel bad not at least giving them a fair warning.

It would be awful if they had the kids up at 5:00am, didn't get chosen, and wound up having to wait until 9:00 before they could do ANYTHING but sit around - unhappy birthday for the little guy :(
