With respect to the idea of having a business account to improve access to gift card deals--does this require an actual business? Does Best Buy want your state Corporations Bureau I.D. number or something? Or do you just call yourself "Jane Doe LLC" and nobody cares enough to verify it?

Update 2
I’ve now had a Best Buy business account in addition to my personal account for the past 10 months. This turned out to be an excellent decision because it’s enable me to hit many gift card deals much harder than I would’ve been able to buy on a personal account.

So yes, you can have a Business Account AND Personal Account.

Yeah she didn't sound too confident. I was only interested in DGC so I at least made sure she tried that one.

Was there a limit?
I just got $600 worth of Chipotle gift cards (we eat a LOT of Chipotle in our house!). I asked the cashier, and she said she didn’t think there were any limits of numbers of gift cards or dollar amounts. And my DG had the same sign posted above as far as what’s included.

I was able to get 2. Website denied my 3rd transaction. I also know someone who did 3 in one transaction which initially went through. Then less than 5 minutes later got an email that they canceled their order.

I did 3 gift cards in each of my two transaction and had all six gift cards within 5 minutes and already have transferred them over to a physical card

I ordered 3 dgc on my best buy account and 3 on my husband's account just a few minutes after the deal was posted. Both orders went through. I placed another order on his account and it was cancelled.

Just now I tried converting his account to a business account. That was successful, however when I placed another order for 3 dgc it was still cancelled, with the explanation given that it exceeded orderable quantity limits. :headache:

I got the purchase order option line so I know it recognized the account as a business account, but still no go for me.

ETA: I wonder if there's a limit of two transactions, regardless of the quantity purchased in each transaction. It probably counted my first two orders since I think no matter which account I buy from they still track together, since we're at the same address, or whatever means BB uses. So even though I have not purchased 9, I can't get more because I've placed two orders. IDK :headache:

ETA: So, I got an email saying my best buy account had been updated to reflect changes. No details. I decided to try again with another order for 3 dgc, and added a 20 physical steam gc to be shipped because I needed that anyway. The order went through. I feel like I've invested a lot of time today to save $45 lol.

I think the bolded is true- I tried doing three separate transactions, each with one $50 gift card. First two were good, last said I reached a quantity limit.

Post #3 Amazon & Credit Card Offers

Q1 2024 5% Quarterly Categories
Activate, Offers & Suggestions
January 1st – March 31, 2024
by Doctor of Credit

Chase Freedom Q1 2024 Quarterly Categories: Grocery, Fitness, Gym, Spa
  • Grocery Stores– This is always a favorite since we all shop for groceries. Plus, you can max this out by purchasing gift cards to other retailers.
Nice! I'm hitting the tail end of my introductory 12 month bonus for groceries on my Flex, so it will be nice to get an extra quarter.

Reminder on that front that if your Chase Freedom or Flex card already has a 5% bonus on groceries (as mine did last year), Chase stacks those. They calculate your 5% as a normal 1% on everything plus a 4% bonus. So you end up with 1% + 4% intro offer + 4% category bonus = 9% cash back (or points) total.

If you are in that boat, highly recommend maxing out your category limit if you can :)

So if I don't see that AMEX offer to register for on my account, I guess that means that it doesn't apply to my particular card? I have a Hilton Honors Aspire card and there is nothing listed in the offers for Best buy.

For some reason, Best buy wouldn't let me transition my personal account into a business account. It just gave me a generic error message

Sorry, there was a problem creating your account.
Please review your info and try again.

Tried a few times and keep getting the same error.

Ah rats! I could have used the Dollar General GC deal from yesterday. I want to buy GC for my staff of 16 for our Christmas party this coming Wednesday. My hope was to purchase Panera GCs…..

You are correct. All offers no matter the credit card are targeted.
If you don't see it, you weren't targeted. We don't have it either.

Did you check recently? I was not originally targeted but it showed up on my account a few days ago (same expiration date though). Think this is the second time an offer appeared much later than others for me.

We've had them pop up later as well, unfortunately it's a no show. Got a bunch of wine offers and places we don't shop at. And a handful of places I've never heard of before.

I agree, keep checking!

Love these 10% off gift card deals right now. Was able to collect $3k to pay for my DVC dues. WIll start collecting more for my June Disney trip starting in March/April :). Created a Best Buy business account and THANK YOU for the tip!!
