*UPDATED* DISDivas & Family October Mini Meet *UPDATED* (3.0 Version!)

Heather - I am so happy to hear that you dad is doing well. Continued good wishes that he gets through chemo with little or no side effects.

We missed you this weekend! See you in Dec!!

Heather so glad to hear that your dad is doing better and you did do the right thing although you were very missed! Can't wait to see you again in Feb!!

Dizme I KNEW I should have said something. The size of the room was pretty bad but I even could have dealt with that but the double beds was the worst. I get migraines and if I don't sleep well it really aggravates that. We hve a queen at home and that really isn't good enough anymore cuz I can't get comfortable but a double is just NOT good enough. When dh and I try to sleep together in one I get NO sleep because I am on the edge of the bed the whole time and I usually have to sleep sitting up so as not to get a headache and we only had one pillow etc. I had a head and neck ache MOST of the weekend and didn't get much sleep at ALL!

I just wish I would have taken the time to say something. I didn't even need a suite just a bigger bed would have been nice. Next time! :)

Heather, that's great news about your dad. I'm happy to hear he's doing well so far, and I hope he continues to do so throughout the remainder of his treatments. :wizard:

Heather - so glad your pops is doing well. :goodvibes

Kelly - Shelby is the sweetest girl ever. I love all the attention she gave me. She is my new little BFF.

Dawn & Sally - Thank you so much for EVERYTHING! You two are just the best ever.:dance3:

Vicki, Donna, Cheryl - my F!/Fireworks/Ride buddies. We are like peas in a pod, aren't we?

Beth - We all talked about how much we missed you but knew your wonderful family would assure your birthday was special.:lovestruc

I had so much fun all weekend.

Oh good Linda. I am glad! I was so afraid she was pestering you. I don't know WHY she was hanging all over you like that but I am glad it didn't bug you. Shane was so afraid that she was being a pest! I don't know what it was that she was so all over you about but I am glad you were ok with it! :) She sure did like you though and kept talking about you after we saw you guys last and how much she missed you and liked you! :)

And Melody if you see this she loved your Kaitlyn as well! She kept saying how she wanted to ride a ride with "Minnie". :)

When we were sitting waiting for the fireworks, Shelby was talking about how her sister lost something (a bag?) on Big Thunder, not realizing she was talking about Lynn. When that finally got cleared up, she asked Melody and I if her mom had told us about Lynn... We looked at each other and right then the fireworks started so we didn't have to say anything!! We both started laughing when they started!! She's so cute, and very talkative!! I'm glad we got to meet all of you, it was so much fun!!

Lol Stacie that's funny! Yes she is a chatterbox that's for sure! I'm surprised she didn't tell you her whole life story! ;) Or did she... :)

Heather, I'm so happy to hear that everything went smoothly for your father.

I sat right next to her in the front row, and she really did not enjoy the ride.

Ooh, front row's rough when you're not sure you want to be there...front row caused me to have more problems than I did. The chatter in my head while on Space was bad enough, but that ride has almost destroyed it. :( I think I've been only once more, with Stacerita last March...fun, but it takes a lot of mental energy to be OK with the ride.

A picture you say??? I'm waiting. . . :hyper: popcorn::

I would love to see the picture of the monkey bride! I looked for it/her when we went on it...

People got sick after Minnie's? Did those people have the eggs? I really really disliked, nearly hated, the so called food there on our trip.

Is anyone going to post more pix here?

My 9yr old is like that with certain people, especially my husband's new stepsister and her husband. They're both teachers so they're used to it. And I always think it's better my kid is trying to have a conversation with someone then running around screaming or having a fit:)

I just saw some great pictures of everyone in costume while reading Wendy's TR

.

:grouphug: It's true. It was so much fun sharing that with you. Even the part where we risked life and limb to cross the massive crowds to get to the restroom before F! :rotfl:

I am really glad about Heather's dad.. I expected no less than a great outcome. Good genes, you know.

Lol Stacie that's funny! Yes she is a chatterbox that's for sure! I'm surprised she didn't tell you her whole life story! ;) Or did she... :)

I think she did. I was trying to break in to ask Linda something and it was non-stop! Pretty darn cute.

I am not sure... Theresa seems to think that maybe they were just sick anyway. So it's not definitive...

Hi everyone!!

Sorry it has taken awhile to get on here again. I don't know about you guys, but I was exausted when I got home. I had one of my stupid hormone no sleep times while there, and then on top of that getting to bed quite late.

Other than that, Kaitlyn and I had a wonderful time.

Sally's party was the best, and of course we had the nicest party favors of all time!! Thankyou Dawn and Sally for our very special time! Thanks for being good friends!

Wendy was our ride buddy for the trip too. She lives about 3 1/2 hours north of us, so that worked out really well. I think she caught up on her sleep along with Kaitlyn on the way home. I had to sing to them to keep me awake. :rolleyes1 Poor things...................listened to Phantom for quite a ways. :rotfl:

Cheryl, you are a great room buddy. Let's do it again in February!! :woohoo: Ladies, I think Cheryl got a lesson of late on teenager girls. Kaitlyn took a 30 minute shower, :headache: and I kid you not, changed her clothes about 10 times :upsidedow before we finally got out the door for early entry. Let's just say that early entry got later and later!!! Her excuse was something about finding the right thing to match her hat. Good grief I says!! Anywhos, sorry about that Cheryl!

Kelly, your girls are precious. So cute, and Shane was the nicest too. We will have to catch up on ToT in the spring!!

Saturday ,we met up with Cheryl, Dawn, Sally, Linda, and Breezy at Cafe Orleans. YUM!! Pomme frites and Monte Cristo. But we were sad, cuz we were so full that we didn't even get the begniets. :sad1: Linda, I didn't get to talk to you that much this time. Sorry about that. :sad2:

Katie, I really enjoyed talking to you while waiting for the fireworks, and I know that Kaitlyn had the most fun of the weekend with your kids. You have a very nice and good looking family. Lela is the cutest. :cutie:

I loved the fireworks. We had pretty good spots. I was about to take somebody out for trying to take our benches!! Thankfully the CM, was around to see this happen, and he sided with Cristabel and I. Whew!!!
I still love "Remember..." the best.

The Fantasmic dessert buffet was the best. How spoiled we were!!! Thanks to Stacie, we got front row seats. She about took someone out too for taking her spots. Fortunately the CMs got that all settled too. Poor CMs, it must be hard sometimes trying to make everyone happy and doing the right thing.
Murphy the dragon worked great for our time slot. I guess at the earlier showing, she just spewed out smoke instead of fire.:lmao: We got the fire girls!!!! :scared1:
Right afterwards we decided to go on HMH, and the fastpass line was out to the French Market. And we wove around the Mansion too. It still went pretty fast, but I had never seen that before.
AND GUESS WHAT????? I SAW THE MONKEY BRIDE!!!! :cool1: Poor Wendy, those of us who doubted, owe her a big apology!! :guilty:

The next morning Cheryl did early entry(At least she thought she was), and this time Kaitlyn and I slept in. Well Kaitlyn did at least. Anywhos we went into DCA and caught a few more rides and then met up for our lunch at Wine Country. We sat next to Jill and Chris, which was so nice. Kaitlyn really enjoyed talking to them too. Jill took food porn pics!!! :thumbsup2

After that Kaitlyn and I did a little shopping for my grandsons. We then headed on over to Hojos to pick up Wendy and we headed home.

I know this was kind of a random report. I reported as I remembered! :rotfl:

It was very nice to meet our newest members, Betty, Judy and Angie and their children. Hope you can make it again! :grouphug:

Heather, I am so glad to hear about your Dad. I pray for continued healing and comfort.

We missed you.

Thanks for all the well wishes for my Dad everyone!

I love reading all the trip reports. I finally found the t or t party photos on FB, but I would love to see photos of Ms. Sally's party. I'm sure Dawn outdid herself, she's such a good planner.

I work the next few days, and then have a few days off. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

This little mini meet went so well, is anyone up for one in December? I know if any of you are going it's most likely with family but we could meet up for a meal or two. Just throwing the idea out there.

and thanks to you all I made it too!

No, really, I just wanted to say that she was so cute and sweet. Like I was a long lost friend or something. And she is so cuddly and full of affection. You know it's been so long since my DD was little, I forgot how precious they really are at that age. What wonderful parents you are, raising such a caring child. She told me how much she loves her mom and dad several times! And Shane could be a Diva for sure, he fit right in with us...even though he's a BOY! Seriously Kelly, you have a wonderful family and I hope things all work out with Lynn. She will find her way.:)

And I must fess up....

I SAW THE MONKEY BRIDE, TOO! NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE!!

So Wendy, I apologize, she is really there, but hard to spot.popcorn::

And my biggest bummer of the weekend is not getting to visit with Mel and Kaitlyn.:sad1: We had such big plans to hang out and chit chat and like you said Mel, the timing was off and it just didn't happen. Poo-ey. And Deb, I missed you, too. Sorry you had the niece from H-E-double hockey sticks. I took my sister's kids for the first time many years ago and her DD who was 7 at the time did the same thing. I had never experienced a child who cried at the entrance to every ride and I was dumbfounded. After a few hours it really does ruin your day. I do not blame you ONE BIT for moving on - AMEN sister!:thumbsup2 I don't know what makes children react like that.:confused3

Good evening ladies!

I have a question for DVC owners. My parents are going away to Europe in January for their 25th anniversary. Diana and I think we should plan our own little vacation while we babysit Anais for them. We REALLY REALLY want to stay onsite but I'm wondering if it's more affordable to rent DVC points rather than just book a room. I just think it would be real awesome if we could stay onsite and have early morning entry.

Thanks!

I'm in for a meal and maybe even a ride or show :thumbsup2.
