Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure vs Disneyworld

if you are truly looking for something non-Disney to do? Go 40 minutes south and go to LEGOLAND .. THAT is entirely worth it for a 4-year old .. a fun little park, and probably won't be crowded AT ALL and there are tons of promos out there where kids go free with an adult admission.

Besides MK it is probably the best theme park for kids of that age..

+1 on this. LL is GREAT for kids 4-8. The rides are geared for that age group, but there's still some good ones for the adults and pre-teens. We bought season passes for $100, which makes us money ahead after the 2nd day. Now we tack on a stay every trip to WDW.

Right about the time they outgrow LL, they're ready for Universal.

Having said that, our nearly 8-year old has been to Universal 3 times and loves it. He was 6 the first time. You do have to be careful to choose rides carefully...rides like The Mummy are too intense for most little ones.
