Universal after Disney Cruise

We are thinking of doing Universal and IOA the two days after our Disney Cruise. Couple of questions.

1. How do we get a good rate at the HRH? We would be there in Oct.

2. We will basically have a day and a half by the time we drive back from the port. Which park should be the half day? Our son is 49.5 inches tall and Hubby and I aren't intense roller coaster riders. Half day would be Saturday and full day would be Sunday. All info would be appreciated.

As for the half day, you might want to consider IOA. You son is probably too short to ride the coasters anyway.

I got the Entertainment Book rate for Nov/Dec at $117 and there are others out there like Fan Club, Loews, and possibly AAA.

Regarding which to do in half a day/full day. I'd disagree.

I'd spend a full day at IOA and half at Universal with my family (DD's 5 and 2).
