Trader Sam's Reservations?

Anyone had success with Trader Sam's reservations? I had alerts set up before we even hit our 60 day mark (Party of 4, Feb 9th) and they have never come through. I'm wondering if they just haven't opened yet by chance?

I booked ours for March already. They went fast though. One day I booked something else first, because I didn't really plan on doing Trader Sam's that day. I checked, and they were all gone after getting online when stuff first came up and booking 1 dining reservation. On my last day of booking, I booked Trader Sam's first. I got on less than 15 minutes before 6am PT, and Trader Sam's was already available and partially taken.

Yes, reservations have opened , just gone already. Just keep checking . They go really quick at the 60 day window. Like in a few minutes after dropping. We were able to snag a couple reserrvations for our trip next week, well after the 60 day window . Both lunch and dinner times . Just keep checking as often as possible , and you may get lucky. We didn't have any particular day we needed, just kept checking every day of our trip and was able to snag a few randomly. May be harder to snag a particular day, but keep trying.

I've found Trader Sam's reservations either right at 6am, or sometimes more like 6:30. I don't know why they would drop them at different times, but that's been how I got that ADR twice. I also did get one with a dining alert. As your trip gets closer you might get one that way. Good luck!

For what it's worth, if you "rope drop" it at 11:30 it is fairly easy to get in and get a table. I believe the small interior, combined with the outdoor seating (which is far larger than interior) being reserved in a large part for walk-ups, is what collectively makes it so difficult to get a reservation (on top of the popularity of course). Not that it's worth changing everything around to accommodate rope dropping a meal/drinks, but just my 2 cents :)

We were there last week during the Half Marathon, walked right up about 15 minutes before opening, got on the list, and were called within 10 minutes, but that plan worked with our itinerary.

My daughter and I are autistic. We managed to snag a reservation for the coveted Trader Sams indoor bar for lunch one day. The waitress escorted us to the bar and we sat down. We were only there for about 1 minute and my daughter turned to me and said mum this isn't going to work for me its too noisy, cramped and crowded. We asked the waitress if we could be seated outside and she looked at us as if we were insane requesting to be moved from a prime spot. She found us a table and it was sooo much more pleasant for us. We then enjoyed a nice lunch of burgers.

I wanted to get a reservation for 8 for dinner this week...
* Reservations cap at 4, so I'll need to make two different reservations. (Don't bother looking for anything larger than that.)
* Dinner reservations were available at 6am PST 60 days out. They were gone by 6:02am, after I booked my first reservation.
* While monitoring for more openings, it looked like lunch reservations were released 31 days out (not 30).
* I've had text notifications on for my dinner reservation time since after the first day. They have never notified me of an opening. (I did get a notification immediately for WoC Dessert Party when they resumed.)
* Still monitoring this week for last minute cancellations, but expecting needing to wait-list the other half of the group.

Reminds me when we were there and seated inside and my daughter was too cold. This was August and it was much much warmer outside at night than inside. I was super bummed though but understood how she felt…

As others have said, the reservations go super fast, like within a couple minutes of dropping.

When I was there earlier this month, they told me all advance reservations are guaranteed to sit inside (so all of the outdoor seating must be walk up) The capacity inside is so small, so that plus the popularity makes it very challenging to get a reservation.

I missed getting one when they dropped, but checked the web site constantly and picked up a cancellation after a few weeks of trying. I’m told more cancellations pop up the days leading up to the date because it was pretty rare for something to pop up when I was looking!

This part is so funny to me. (Not saying that you're incorrect, purely that their system is weird!) We walked-up and got on the list in Oct as a party of 2. I tried to use the app first, and it would only let me on the wait list if I had a party of 5 or more. Go figure!
