Towncars safe for single rider?

My sister will be joining me at Disney and I have a reservation for her with Tiffany town car service. I was thinking that it might be safer (as a single woman traveling alone) for her to ride with Mears. What do you think?

I would definitely go Tiffany Towncar. They pick you up in a spotless Lincoln Towncar and escort you directly to your destination. Get the discount coupon from their web site. When you go with Mears you are jammed in a big bus and make many stops before you reach your hotel. Mears will charge you about $50 for a round trip and for about $30 more you can go in comfort and style.
All the drivers I have met are gentlemen and very professional. Tiffany is the only way to go.

I agree with nats, go with Tiffany. We used them in Dec. (just three females). Our driver was great and very helpful getting us through the airport.

We'll be using them again in June.

I would go with the towncar. There's no guarantee that anyone else will be in the Mears shuttle with her either...

Like the others, I would go with a towncar. We always use a towncar(2 women) and as my partner pointed out after the one time with mears, we were the last two on the Mears van, and felt uneasy with the driver. Our Tiffany drivers have always been professional and have always felt comfortable with them.

I understand your concern. I had the same concern before I tried TTC as a solo woman traveler. Of the 4 trips I've taken, I only felt a little awkward once, but that was because I got a driver who didn't even tell me his name and spoke very little.

I also believe it to be the safest and easiest option. If you feel better request a female driver, I know Tiffany had one last year. Either way I'm sure you'll have no problems!

We just had a female with TTC last month. She was polite, but not overly friendly. I prefer Jimmy from yourride.net!
