Has anyone done the island drive and beach break (TT11) in Tortola? How long is the walk from the ship to the bus?

We did this in May and the loading area for the vehicles was very close to the end of the peir. So, including the distance of the entire pier, it was maybe 1000 feet. The drop of on the way back was slightly further, but maybe only a few hundred feet further.
If mobility is an issue, climbing up into the "truck" might be a little challenging. There are two steps up and the seats front to back are fairly narrow.

Sorry to piggy back but did you enjoy the tour? We almost booked it but then saw it was only an hour at the beach. Thanks!

We did. it was nice to just be able to see around the island and stop for a few photo ops. Our driver was very nice and fun to talk with. He gave us little bits of information that were interesting. We ended up being at the beach for about an hour and 45 minutes, which was perfect for us. I got my fill and DH doesn’t really like the beach. He’d hoped for more area to walk around, which wasn’t really there. He just walked back and forth. You had to pay for the beach chairs and umbrellas (I think $5 each). DH was annoyed at that, but it really wasn’t bad. We also chatted with some of the other drivers while we waited to leave and they were all very friendly!
We don’t often do excursions, but this wasn’t too expensive and worked for the two of us.

We did this in August. Unfortunately we had a rainy day so the beach was not very enjoyable. There were also a lot of bugs there, bombarding us. The tour itself was a nice way to see what was a new island to us. Like Erica above we don‘t usually do excursions, but this was just the right amount of time, and probably would have been a lot better if we had a nice day.
