So! It's been over a year. And I'm finally updating this! Procrastination won for a while. As you can imagine it was an odd cruise for me and my dad. Yet, it was a good time as well! So here we go! I don't remember everything in clear detail, but that's what pictures are for? Also, this is my second time writing this due to my computer deciding to randomly reset.
Arrival Day
Since I don't remember having a panic attack, we can assume the plane ride went fine! The Vancouver airport is so pretty! I also recommend following their twitter feed.
After customs, my dad and I met up and together we took a taxi to our hotel! The Fairmont Vancouver. I'ddefiitly recommend this one. It's a lovely, historic hotel that wasn't too expensive given the conversion rate. It was about 100 or more cheaper than the one Disney recommended. Only a couple of (long) blocks to the terminal as well.
We did get a room upgrade when we got there. A surprise to both me and my dad. We got their club level room. Which they call Fairmont Gold. It looks to be the same as booking club level. Anyway, it was super nice, but sadly the only picture I have is of a hallway. The cool thing was all the toiletries had my dad's name on them. (He booked the reservation).
After a bit of settling, we decided to the aquarium. While the walk was pretty and we got to see a bit of the port, I would not recommend the aquarium IF you've been to places like the Shed or the one in Atlanta. It's a nice Aquarium, just very small compared to those. My dad also made the mistake of wearing newly bought shoes on this long walk. Anyway, we took a taxi back to the hotel. It is VERY HARD to get a taxi from the Aquarium. We must have waited at least 30 minutes. That's all that happened that day. We went to an amazing restaurant, but I do not remember the name of it.
