Is there a set amt that the tourguides expect? How much do you tip per person?

I always give them a couple of bucks. I took a tour to St John, and you take a ferry over there. The guys on the ferry are very nice and informative. I give them a couple of bucks too and I noticed this last time I was the only one that did! I am not a heavy tipper at all, but this is how these guys make their money - and they were great. Everyone on board was DCL too....

If Rae was still here, she'd tell you how to tip the tour guides. On the several DCL sponsored excursions we have seen the spectrum on tips. Some don't mention it at all and don't have a "tipping jar", others have had a tipping jar out for tips, some have mentioned tipping and others have had their hands out waiting for them.

You gotta do whats right for you and for the service that you recieved. Most of these people make more money from tips than from selling their services.

Sometimes we tip, sometimes we don't
