Tickets brought through Disney Weddings

I was thinking of buying my parents a 1 day park ticket as a surprise and thought I would use the discounted tickets.

It asks me to select a date but I'm not sure what date they would use them. Can they use the ticket any day provided it's on a regular day if I buy a regular ticket? Thanks!

Yes, and if it was a more expensive day they would just have to pay the difference
