Those that have Wyndam where do you rent your points?

I am not looking to buy anything I am just looking to see the cost of renting this summer. Is there specific sites you know that rent them out?

This isn't DVC related but I feel most comfortable asking DVC owners their thoughts because I feel like I will get a more straightforward answer in relation to how DVC works as well.

Well, RedWeek.com is the most well known and probably has the most listings. And there’s the TUG Marketplace, https://tug2.com/timesharemarketplace/rentals, and also Koala, https://www.go-koala.com/, but they probably get less traffic. There are also listings on Airbnb, which has some kind of agreement with Wyndham.

That said, Wyndham has been pretty difficult to work with in recent years, coming down very heavily on “commercial” renting - without defining what that is - canceling reservations and suspending owners’ accounts, sometimes seemingly arbitrarily. I’d refer you to the TUG Wyndham forum, https://tugbbs.com/forums/forums/club-wyndham-plus.47/, for more details.

Understood and sounds like I might want to be careful as well.

As my stay would be longer (multiple weeks) I might end up staying elsewhere in the area.

Thank you for the information though.

If you're looking for a longer stay in Orlando not at super peak times have a look at Getaways on the II site. You can easily find weeks at Marriot and Sheraton in Orlando for a super discounted price. No points needed, just cash.
There are plenty of options for Getaways, but Sheraton and Marriot are the best ones available in Getaways. I've stayed at a Westgate resort, which was fine (and a stone throw away from Universal) but really nowhere near the DVC level.

I just remembered, Wyndham has its own rental site, https://www.extraholidays.com/. There shouldn’t be any problems with cancellations there.

I want to say there is a city we visit for a weekend getaway that I was looking to book. Nothing this summer but for the fall when we normally go for a 4 day we saved like 25% off their normal pricing that is discounted rack rate.

Essentially it was what I was looking for which is DVC rental price points in comparison to rack rates.

Thanks for the help
