Anyone know if something special is going on at DL this weekend?
I was thinking of stopping by for Thursday/Friday on the way to San Diego for the weekend, but no DL hotels are available Thursday night.

Let me know if there's something I don't know!

I haven't heard of anything this weekend, but I know October is a big convention month. Plus, crowds have died down some since summer, but have still remained higher than usual.

Well, I went ahead and called.
There is availability... if we want to pay $370 per night for a GC standard room.

I guess I could book it and not tell the hubby how much, huh?

The Angels are playing the White Sox on Fri, Sat and Sun in Anaheim in the ALCS. Probably explains why hotel rooms are scarse.

I tried to book this weekend at the GC for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night about 8 weeks ago and was told one of the nights was booked solid at GC. Not sure what the deal is but this weekend was a busy weekend judging by that and the rates.
