Thinking out loud - new users

Maybe I'm just noticing it more, but there seems to be a lot of users joining and the same day posting questionable reviews or stir the pot type threads. They often don't ever post again. Seems like trolling has increased.

While sometimes entertaining, have the mods considered ways to limit them? Like brand new users having to wait x amount of days or new users have posts moderated before going live?
