Yep, another confirmation from us! My kids and I were there in the middle of January. It was a super rainy day, so we were all set with rain boots, waterproof jackets, etc. My daughter still opted out because Splash isn't her favorite, but my son and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to ride Splash with our protective gear. That part actually did work out really well, and it's a very good thing, because we were hit with the biggest wall of water EVER!! Wow - we would have been absolutely soaked. to. the. bone. if we hadn't had all the rain gear. I felt really, really badly for the people behind us in the log.
I have no idea why there is such a difference now. It worked out ok for us, but if it's still the same way in August, I'm not sure I will be riding. It's one thing to come off the ride somewhat drippy - it's part of the fun (for some of us, not my daughter, ha!) and at least when it's warm out, you know you will be drying off relatively quickly. But when you get completely drenched, that's just no fun. It's too extreme.
