As seems typical these days, the crowd at the rope seemed heavy. However, it seemed to thin later. A number of attractions weren’t open at 8:00. Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Space Mountain and all of Star Wars Land, I believe. Seemed like a lot.
I missed the park last Sunday due to COVID. I emerged from quarantine on Monday, although the fatigue is still very much with me. I felt fine up until 11:30 today..: and then the fatigue had a tantrum and insisted that we leave immediately, which I did :-(. Oh well. I did my best and I’ll be back at the park on Thanksgiving.
Met a number of nice people, as per usual. There was a particularly pleasant family from Colorado at the rope (the dad is the guy with the Haunted Mansion tattoo in the pic below). His wife guessed that I was 35… which I’m not. I’m a bit older. But it’s always nice to get a few years knocked off for good behavior. Or bad behavior. I’m not particular ;-).
Around 10:30 I overheard two woman as they made their way to SWL. One of them said that she was excited to ride “the Millennial Falcon” ;-). Over the years, I’ve also heard people refer to the Haunted Mansion as “the haunted house.” No judgement, of course. But to someone who’s visited the park at least 200 times, those kinds of things really stand out.
Some pics.
