October 4
2005 - Cinderella is released for the first time ever on DVD, and is the 6th release in the Platinum Collection. It is the first time the movie has been available for sale in 10 years.

October 5
2004 - Aladdin is released for the first time ever on DVD, and is the 4th release in the Walt Disney Home Entertainment Platinum Collection.

1949 - The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad is released in theatres.

2003 - The Lion King was released for the first time ever on DVD, and was the third installment in the WDHE Platinum Collection.


October 8
2002 - Beauty and the Beast is released for the first time ever on DVD, and is the second installment in the WDHE Plaitnum Collection.

2003 - A Magic Kingdom press event is held and "Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams" and "Mickey's PhilharMagic" officially debut in a ceremony featuring Julie Andrews and Sorcerer Mickey Mouse!


October 9
2001 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is released for the first time ever on DVD, and is the first installment in the WDHE Platinum Collection.

2003 - A grand opening ceremony is held at Epcot for "Mission: SPACE" and features Disney CEO Michael Eisner as well as famous astronauts.
