Looks like homeschooling next year for the two kids next year. Ugh.

Have you checked to see if Kentucky has a "K12" Public Online School?
They are Free.
In Tennessee they only had it K thru Grade 8...so I personally haven't worked with them.
DS17 did an online HS which we had to pay for...but he's graduating a year early.
What happened?
Thanks. Nothing against homeschooling, and we were going to do DD, but DS's teacher is going back home to Central America and she was the best teacher at the school. Even so she left something to be desired. When DS brought his books home ($200 at the start of the year) they had never even unwrapped the penmanship book and he had about 200 pages in math they didn't cover. The only book they came close to finishing was spelling. It will be a challenge for SWMBO doing 2 different ages. I can help with the math and science and am glad to get to spend more time with them because we never know how much time we do get, but it is just one more change and thing added into an already overloaded schedule.
Nothing rant worthy since last May? Life is pretty good, but time for a minor rant. SWMBO has a birthday next week and my parents shipped her a box to my office. Just got the tracking number and supposedly it was delivered yesterday at 5:00 PM and left at the front door. Kiss that box goodbye.
They meant well.
Over a year and nothing rant worthy? The birthday box from last year did show up at the station directors house. He just didn't feel it was worth telling me about for a few days.
Today is a new rant If you put a crease in the front of the car over the tire on the passenger side while backing out, please notice it and tell me! When I see it a couple of days later and ask about it, telling me you didn't even notice doing it does not instill great confidence in me that you are aware of much going on.
The car is 11 years old so no point in putting in for the insurance claim. Hopefully I can find someone around that can pull it out and clean it up so it looks reasonable.
Oh, well, at least I have a car that can have a dent put in it. I could not have a car and need one even with a dent in it.
Getting my own personal rant thread but at least it keeps me off the streets.
The local yokels decided to burn down a house that had been vacant for a number of years which is really the only upside of this as it was a health hazard and an eyesore. Unfortunately doing so has displace a bunch of feral cats that are now roaming the neighborhood looking for homes. I could gather them up and take them to the shelter that covers this part of the state but they stand a better chance in the neighborhood of someone adopting them, or fighting their way into one of the barns for a place to call "home". With the cold weather setting in we are due to have a few dogs dropped off as well. Happens every year.
I'm still here. With all the different forums, not much traffic here.
That stinks. I inherited the minivan after DW hit a few parking posts in it. Now, that nightmare has ended and I inherited the Pontiac Aztek with slipping transmission. At least it is a vehicle.
You could get out the shotgun and do some target shooting.
Health insurance... and this is before the government gets involved!
The unaffordable care act? We didn't have any changes. What was it?
Not yet. That pain is still to come. This was disallowed labwork for SWMBO back in July that I am still dealing with and she has another appt Friday AM.
