Cast: Me, The Tramp and my DW of 25 years, Lady
Objective: To celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary with a leisurely vacation in Orlando

Day 8, 12/8: Our final day in Orlando had arrived. We left the PBH for breakfast at an IHOP and to fuel up the SUV ($1.39/gallon). When we returned, we checked out and took the boat for IOA. I knew there were a couple good water rides in this park and, fortunately, the forecast called for temps near 80! Our first stop was The Adventures of Spiderman! This is a tremendous 3D/simulator, probably the best we've ever experienced. I can see why it is so popular! Our next stop was Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, a great log flume ride that I did without the DW and promptly got soaked! We enjoyed the comic book look of Toon Lagoon a lot. Next was Poseidon's Fury! Escape from the Lost City. This one looked real interesting; however, after we passed through the water vortex, they had a problem and we never did get to see the battle. We passed on Dueling Dragons (we are not real coaster people, although we do love RNR) and headed for Seuss Landing. This area was brightly decorated for Christmas in the theme of the new movie. The Grinch was even there, running around the park, stealing the decorations! We rode the carousel (just for the fun of it) and the Cat In The Hat (my DW loves the story), had some lunch and finally sat down near the Incredible Hulk Coaster. After about 45 minutes, the DW looked at me and said "I know what you're doing. You're trying to talk yourself into doing that coaster!" She was right and I actually got up the nerve to try it. (We're not coaster people, remember?!) What a ride! The launch is incredible! I don't think I have to do this one again, although I did enjoy it about half way through. It feels like you're going 500 mph through the loops, etc! Following the Hulk, we walked around the park again and eventually decided to get an early lunch at the Crab House at Gooding's International Plaza (we had a $25 GC from a more.com purchase, thanks to info on The DIS). The meal was excellent. Unfortunately, the time was rapidly approaching to make the trip to the airport for our 9:00 PM flight home. We enjoyed the PBH for a couple hours, got our floral arrangement out of a refrigerator and headed for the airport. The flight home was uneventful, fortunately, and we returned home to 2 very happy dogs. I think the kids were happy to see us, too.

Final Thoughts: We had a wonderful time and have some very special memories. Our meal at the Brown Derby, Fantasmic, the Candlelight Processional, the Illuminations Cruise, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Coronado Springs will always be memories we will treasure. I know I will never forget my ride on the Hulk and we will never forget how beautiful Portofino Bay looked when we arrived (and afterwards). We did come to the conclusion, though, that we are Disney people. I don't know if we will ever return to USF but I do know we will return to WDW some day in the future. Hopefully with grandchildren.

How fitting for the grinch to be stealing the decorations. :D

Good for you for getting up the nerve to ride the Hulk. You only live once, right? :D

Good luck on the grandkids. ;)

Thanks so much for taking the time to write and share your trip reports with us. You did a great job. I really enjoyed reading them. :)
