Objective: To celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary with a leisurely vacation in Orlando

Day 2, 12/2: We began our second day at CSR with breakfast at the PM. The food was good but the DW's hash browns were not very hot. We finished eating and hopped on the bus for EPCOT! Our first mission was to have some Christmas cards stamped with a WDW postmark. We headed to Guest Services to inquire about this service but were told it couldn't be done because we had placed stamps on the cards. I guess the WDW postmark includes the stamp! The CM did, however, hand stamp an EPCOT logo on the front of each envelope for us! We mailed them and headed for Test Track. We had no wait for this great attraction; in fact, we actually entered straight to the pre-test briefing room without passing through the GM exhibit. After TT we made a quick stop at Ice Station Cool to enjoy some different Coke drinks before walking over to The Living Seas. We really enjoy the "aquarium" here and had a special treat when we got to watch a scuba diver swimming around inside a "cloud" of colorful fish! The manatees were also great! We visited Sea Bas Alpha and the Life Support Systems Exhibit and Undersea Robotics display before heading over to The Land. Living With the Land is one of our favorite attractions so we enjoyed that first. We than enjoyed The Circle of Life before visiting Journey Into Imagination. Here, we did Journey Into Your Imagaination, which was good, but I was a little disappointed that Figment wasn't really featured more. The What If Labs were fairly crowded with children and adults enjoying themselves so we bypassed these hands-on exhibits and made our way to The World Showcase. We boarded a shuttle boat and cruised over to the American Adventure. This animatronic/video performance is not to be missed! It is a very emotional presentation on the history of our great nation. From there, we visited Japan, Morocco, France and the UK before stopping at Le Cellier to discuss my DW's wheat/gluten allergy with a chef (it was suggested we do this prior to our CP Dinner Package seating scheduled for later that evening). Once, that was done, we visited the Millennium Village and the Cafe, where we sampled some fares from around the world. With lunch out of the way, we exited through the International Gateway and toured the YC/BC and BW resorts before boarding a bus and returning to CSR for a swim and some time in the spa. We returned to EPCOT just in time for the tree lighting ceremony (5:55 PM); as we cruised back across the lake towards the American Gardens theatre and our 6:45 PM CP ressies, the TON parade started. We managed to enjoy some of this interesting and colorful parade before entering the theatre and finding a seat. The CP was awesome: the choir and orchestra were spectacular. However, we did not totally care for our narrators rendition of the Christmas Story. The snow during "Silent Night" was a nice touch.
Following the show, we went straight to Le Cellier for our 8:00 ressies only to be told they were running late. We were given a pager and decided to do some shopping a the Chistmas gift tent near the entrance to the World Showcase. By pure coincidence, we were returning to Le Cellier when our pager vibrated once. No one told us the pagers only have a range of 100 feet! Fortunately, we did not miss our opportunity to dine at this fine restaurant. Both of our meals were excellent. I started with the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, which was excellent. For my entree, I chose the Chef's Creation (a Grilled 10 ounce Buffalo Rib-eye served with Yukon gold smashed potatoes and topped with a brandy cherry glaze). It was also excellent. I finished up with the Apple, Peach and Berry Cobbler, a tasty treat. My DW chose the Shrimp Cocktail Martini, the Wild Mushroom Stuffed Filet and the Classic Creme Brulee. All were delicious! We returned to CSR via the International Gateway and the bus from the BW. It wasn't until several later that we realized we had missed several countries in the World Showcase: Norway, Mexico, and China! We really enjoyed Norway (the Restaurant Akershus and the Malestrom) during our last visit, so it was a slight disappointment. We will be sure not to miss these attractions the next time we visit!

I've never heard about the WDW postage stamp. Thanks for teaching me something new! :)

Your day sounds very enjoyable. It must be interesting to meet the chefs of the various restaurants. It's nice that WDW is so accomodating for guests with special dietary requirements. That's just one of the many things that makes WDW so special. :)

Thanks for sharing your trip with us, Mijo. :)
