    Melting Before Noon

Today was a bright an early morning, it was our last full day in Disney and we weren’t wasting it by sleeping in. I mean today Kiss was trying too and woke up basically 5 minutes before we were walking out the door. So while we waited for him I tried getting a hold of Brittany she was planning on meeting us at the resort and leaving her car there since her family was coming into town today or her birthday weekend and were staying at Riverside.
Brittany ended up showing up at our door ready too go, which honestly shocked me since it was only 7am. We all headed to the bus stop and were lucky enough to be able to squeeze onto the bus before it left.
There was a lot of early birds heading to the kingdom this morning and apparently some thing the disney rules don’t apply to them. The lady in front of me asked if she needed her bag checked and then asked if she needed to go through the metal detector. Maybe is she disney royalty…..but the way the security guards looked at her made me think other wise.

It was 8am EMHs, Brittany was freaking out since she wasn’t staying at a resort. I kept telling her if we split up they wouldn't know. Then I questioned what they actually saw on the scanners since she use to do that for a living working at space.
Her nerves died once she saw one of her friends working on main street and she told her she would be fine getting in for EMHs.
It might only be 8am…but its never to early for photos

First up tomorrowland. And on our way we saw the cutest little duck family.

But before we could make it to tomororwland we got stopped by the purple wall. It was Brittany’s request and while I already made fun of her this trip for wanting the purple wall hat I had to be at least a good friend and take some photos. I’m not a “purple wall” fan…nor do I understand the wall fads.

And its a must do to do solo photos. But not for me because I have no clue how to pose in front of a wall…

Finally it was time for some rides, first up space mountain.

Brittany soon got to experience the obnoxious new space mountain exit. And it seems like every time we get the joy of getting stuck thanks to the train.
After Space why not walk to the other side of the park and wait for the rope drop for frontier land at 9. We were lucky enough to get there right before 9 so we didn’t have to wait long. However this was just like herding cattle. So many people…heading for both mountains. We went for thunder and the line seemed long already. Brittany was unimpressed with the humidity already and the lady behind us was king enough to use her fan to cool brittany down.
Luckily they line wasn’t long at all and it was just a constant walk through the queue.
After thunder we decided to stay close and try for pirates.

Pirates was down…thanks George. So we kept walking until we got to the jungle cruise. For some reason we jumped in line and it was the longest and hottest line.

Peace River Country. We would like to take a moment of silence for River Country

The worst part about waiting forever in a hot line is if you don’t have a funny skipper to make up for the wait. We didn’t have a funny skipper this time, so our wait was for nothing.

Because we dealt with a very hot humid morning already we decided it would be best if we found some AC and cooled off. The closest spot for us was the Tiki Room, so lets for listen to some birds sing.

    Aloha Cousin

As we were cooling off in Tiki birds it seemed like the florida was also in need of a cool down. And we ended up walking out into a nice storm. The exit is not all that big and therefore we knew we couldn't hang out there till it some what stopped. So the 3 of us came prepared…Brittany she refuses to ever bring a poncho with her. So my poncho turned into a blanket for us.
We just headed out into the storm no real direction, but found ourselves at Pirates.

One thing we learned this summer was that those cannon ball blasts were ready to hit every boat with water this summer. Be prepared to get wet. Hello new splash mountain.

Once getting off the ride it still seemed a little gloomy out so we bundled up and headed over to main street

Before we could leave MK to head off to lunch, we had to meet up with Alish on main street. She had to drop off her bag at work before joining us at the Poly. We found her right away and was stuck on main street waiting for the rainy day cavalcade to go through

We were officially off to the Poly for Kiss’s choice, Kona Cafe.
Its been some time since I have been here, the last time I was here was with Brittany and we loved it.
I checked us in, we waited to be called, and then we were shown to our table.
Our waitress was great….the service though was on the slow side.
First we got bread to start and some drinks. I went with one of my favorite poly drinks, the tropical macaw

    Kiss got some blended drink

And erin got the classic bahama mama.
For my meal I got the kona coffee rubbed steak, honestly it was ok. I wish it wasn’t loaded in the coffee rub since I thought it took away from the steak and was just a weird texture. So I did my best to scrap it off, the steak it self was good after that.

Kiss went with the Kona Burger, which would be good in my books if it didn’t have the egg on it. But that seems to be the trend these days.

Alish went with the noodle bowl which she didn’t seem all that thrilled about. At the end of our meal our waitress boxed it up for her and she ended up throwing it out in the nearest trash once we left.
Brittany and I believe erin, went with the best option on the menu, the stir fry. This is what I got the first time and LOVED it. Kind of up set I didn’t go with it this time.
During the meal it got super cold, like I felt like I was going to freeze to death and all I could do was try to find warmth under the small cloth napkin.
Finally it was dessert time, two great desserts
the torte which was basically a lava cake

    and the chocolate fondue

By the time dessert came I was so full that I ate only half of my fondue and passed the rest down to Brittany. I made sure to leave one of everything, except for the ginger molasses because I love those.
Lunch came to an end, and honestly it might be awhile till I come back here again.

We all jumped back onto the monorail to head back to the kingdom. Alish had to get to work, so we said our goodbyes and we headed back to the bus stop. Cause we had a full stomach and guess what the sleepy blood disease was kicking in on all of us (or maybe just the early waking for EMHs this morning.) So we all headed back to FQ and took another solid nap…wow shocker.

Welcome to the 20th Annual Lollipop Parade

After a nice siesta, we got ready for a night spent at studios. But before we left I had to give Brittany her birthday present since I wouldn't be seeing her tomorrow on her real birthday. So after gift opening we were off to Studios for some toy story land fun.
Upon arriving we started walking towards toy story land however the star wars march was starting and if you didn’t know, Erin is OBSESSED with the storm troopers. So we were forced to stop and watch.
After the March it was perfect timing for our Tower FP. Since Erin doesn’t ride it we left her at the star wars show and we were off down sunset boulevard.
Tonight we did not stop too watch the pre show since the other library was down for business with a code v, so they were just trying to get people through the line. And honestly I wasn’t complaining.

We found Erin and we were off to TSL. We managed to get slinky Fps and that was the main reason Brittany came with us since when I was making our Fps I normally just add her to ours just in case.
It was a crowded night in the land, which was to be expected. So we knew we wouldn't be spending all that much time in the area.

What Slinky dog dash should look like…thanks budget cuts!

Heres to the butt end of slinky and not knowing where the camera is

Right as we got off slinky we just missed the green army men show.

It was super muggy and the crowds weren't helping that much. So we decided to head out of TSL…but first pictures.

Brittany had to make her way back to Port Orleans since her family had arrived in Orlando and she wanted to make sure she was there to greet them when they got off the ME. We decided to walk with her, and in doing this we stopped for one last photo.

We said our goodbyes since we had no clue when the next time we would see each other and she was off.
We were then off to starbucks.

    Pat?….no Ken…..oh ok…..hello kat!

As we were just strolling around we noticed that the citizens of hollywood were out and I’m a huge fan of them. So we headed on over and I plopped myself down in the middle of sunset boulevard. Little did I know at that moment I would be added in their show.
Welcome to the 20th annual lollipop day parade…where we were apparently a broken down float.
During their set it was basically just throwing out jokes about guests walking passed.
Stroller with a poncho over it - “if you have an ugly kid keep it wrapped up in plastic”
Girl in a crop top - “Oh look at that she lost her shirt in a poker game”
Overall it was a super funny show today and by the end the 20th annual became the 5,062th annual lollipop day parade. And right at the end Kiss stood up so of course they called him out for not being broken and made him walk.
From there we headed all the way down sunset blvd and too RnR.

    Here's to Our Last Night

Its all fun and games until you see a CM freaking out on the podium phone, thinking ok we might be stuck here waiting to ride the ride for a while but nope they send you off and you can’t help but wonder what happened.

Tonight my mission was to try the menu at Woody’s lunchbox for dinner. So after RnR we were back at TSL. But before we could get there the storm troopers were out marching and Erin was dying. So while she went to watch from a far I decided to go grab some roasted nuts from a near by cart.

Soon the storm troopers left the area and we could finally go grab some dinner.
Kiss wasn’t hungry so he decided to hold off and wait, so we went to get a table. And not just any table…the cheese table.

Erin and I got in line, and waited and waited.

I went with the famous tochos, tater tot nachos. Potato barrels smothered in chili and cheese topped with fritos. 10 out of 10. I also got the adult lemonade, if you like sweet drinks this is great.

Erin got the grilled cheese…but the potato barrels are where its at

As we were finishing up we watched as some green army men wondered around taking photos with guests. So obviously we jumped up and ran to meet one.

Everyone was saying how nice TSL looked at night…however I was too antsy to wait for it to get dark. And since we had nothing else really planned for the rest of the night we decided why not go to Disney Springs.
Goodbye Toy Story Land, see ya some time

We headed out of studios and caught a bus to Disney springs, it did take some time for one to show up but all that matters is that it came.
Once arriving Erin went one way, Kiss wanted to go to blaze for dinner, and I wanted to go to the west side to check out the new disney store, Disney Style.
First off this stores decorations were 10 out of 10

And then this store made me choose between two shirts, CoP or country bears…the bears won this round. And while I checked out Kiss went to blaze.

Its been a while since I have been over on the west side and trying to find Blaze from it was quite the adventure. First off they have added so many restaurants thats it blows my mind. Secondly the area with all said new restaurants is beautiful.
I ended up finding Blaze and Kiss had already made friends in line. I found a table and tried figuring out where Erin was. Kiss ate his pizza and we made our way over to the market place.
On our trek to the other side I kept jumping into stores. In one of them I found the ring I have been eyeing up since January. Now I have the disney Love ring with the o being a mickey head. I’ve been wearing since high school. However a few weeks before this trip it broke, nothing drastic just the lettering came apart and now it just lets to get stuck on everything.
Moral of the story I’m on the look out for a new disney ring, and this one just might be the one. But once again I found myself walking away from it, and who knows maybe next time I will treat myself.

Next up we went to check out the new WoD, well what was open. Since the finished product would be later. No more themed rooms, no more big characters hung from the ceiling, just another modern store.

We found Erin by the water side stage were we waited to check into our flight tomorrow and then we were off to the resort.
It turned into a somewhat early night, but that gave us time to pack up our lives since tomorrow was the dreaded going home day.

I wish I could get into the wall thing, but I just can't.
Ok I just feel super awkward posing in front of a wall, its not natural.

    Last Morning Of Magic

It was our last morning waking up in Disney, how unmagical and magical at the same time. We packed away the rest of our stuff. I forgot about my school bread in the fridge so that was a great surprise and a great breakfast.

We headed out of the room once last time, took our luggage off to be checked and then we were off to the kingdom one last time this trip. The tragical express wasn’t scheduled to get us until 7pm so we had a full day of fun ahead of us.
When we got to the kingdom I met a nice security CM or as my notes say “super nice, super cute” And when he noticed my CoP he won more points in my book.

First thing once we got into the park…split up. Kiss needed to use up his snack credits so he hit up the starbucks line. While Erin and I headed down to get some photo pass photos.

Kiss was still in what seemed like a long line so we headed closer to the castle to get more pictures because can you ever have to many photos?

Kiss found us in the castle and we were off to tomorrowland.
    Welcome to the expo

First things first…space mountain. And before we used our FP we decided to jump in the stand by line since it was only a 15 minute wait.

The group in front of us were telling the young girl in their party what the ride was. “We are blasting off to space…you get in a rocket and you blast off”

This would be our official last time of the hot outside walk around space at the end of the ride because the new hallway inside is officially finished! Although it looked long, its in AC and you wont get stuck waiting for the train to pass. And for those who never had to experience it, consider yourself lucky.
That being said we got stuck from the train and then we ran back in the FP line just to get to do the walk again.

For some reason we wanted to watch the royal faire but we missed the first show thanks to the whole train situation.
So to pass the time we hung out in tomorrowland and enjoyed the incredibles photo ops.
Welcome to the tomorrowland expo….where super fans are basically the citizens of hollywood and walk around the area interacting with guests.

    Where is my super suit!

We didn't have a plan of what to do so we did what we do best…we wandered. And somehow we ended up at the happiest cruise to ever sail.

welcome to small world…a world full of little nuggs. Babies all around!!! Add some comments about how I want a baby or ten. But then followed by how I realized this ride would be one of my FP selections if I did have babies. And am I ready for that? ehhhh probably not.
Shout out to the native and the fact that Kiss never realized thats the only native.

    We Are Heroes of Stories

Our main reason for small world was to waste some time before the next stage show. So with that being said we headed over to the hub area and waited for the next show.

Kiss decided not to join in on the fun of sitting in the florida sun for that long so he decided to
head back to tomorrowland and make himself a new phone case.
About 5 minutes before the show the sun decided to blaze down and I felt like I was melting to death. At moments like these it would be great for Elsa to make me my own personal snow flurry.

Lord and ladies, princes and princesses — come one, come all to the Royal Friendship Faire!

We are links in a chain made of silver and gold.
We are part of a pattern about to unfold.
We are heroes of stories, as yet to be told.

We come together on this day!

Allow me to introduce my new pals from The Land of the Bewitching Bayou

You gotta dig a little deeper.
    Find out who you are.
You gotta dig a little deeper.
    It’s really not that far!

Attention everybody! Allow me to introduce my distinguished guests from The Land of the Enchanted Woodlands

I know these boys. They seem a bit rough around the edges, but they’re not so bad.

    And Vladimir collects ceramic unicorns!

My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around.

Now join us in welcoming back our new friends. From The Land of the Bewitching Bayous: Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen

By the end of the show we were ready for some AC and stat.
We found Kiss and we were off to Mine Train. Luckily we had Fps so we didn’t have to wait outside for very long before we got inside, although it wasn’t that gust of AC we wanted or needed.
But before we got to the indoor part of the line we watched the couple in front of us switch shoes…why? who knows.

Sometimes I think its a good idea to grab a FP for the mine train and then every time I go on it I’m always let down in a way. It’s just too short.

Since the surprise is out…thanks to a glitch in the app, we are headed back to Disney in just 2 days! We’ve been planning this trip since last april-ish, since we celebrated Erin’s actual birthday in Disney we decided why not celebrate Kiss’s actual birthday in Disney. As well as celebrating his birthday, I will be celebrating paying off my students loans! The only thing I’m not looking forward to is a Studios without the osborne lights…

    Getting Stuck On Splash

At this point we were hot and ready hungry. So we headed to our favorite QS, Pinocchio’s.
They never let us down with the disney chicken nuggets, kiss on the other hand is not a fan of how they always change their menu. So today he decided to try the cheeseburger flatbread.

And with the last scan of our magic band we were at 0 QS credits let….how sad.
As we were enjoying our meal, in walks alish to come visit us one last time before she had to head to work. And she came with gifts, well just one gift. She got a toy story CM opening team lunch box and lanyard at work the other day and since she new what a crazy toy story fan I am she decided to give it too me.

After lunch we headed over to Splash.

We got hit by a nice sun shower and then we stopped multiple times. But the one time we were stopped for a solid 5 minutes.

Erin’s new obsession the bunny on the front

We met back up with Alish since she didn’t have a FP to go on with us. After splash we headed down frontier land and we found ourselves inside the country bears…but are we surprised about that?!
It was a cramped day inside the theater but the AC was great, the bears were great, life was great.

We hope that you'll be coming back again!

Before we could leave the kingdom I had one snack that was on my list. So we headed over to sleepy hallow. We lost Erin along the way who stopped at a near by stand to grab yet another mickey ice cream.

Today we were trying the new churro ice cream sandwich. Honestly a dream.
Once we got to sleepy hallow the sky opened and it poured. Meaning all the near by guests came running to find shelter and if you know sleepy hallow is a small area, sometimes its not even big enough to hold those waiting for their food let alone adding those who just want shelter from the rain.
I got what a came for though so I was happy. I ended up splitting it with Alish and instead of cutting it in half and having all the ice cream ooze out I decided to take the top churro and spread the ice cream on like a thick spread of cream cheese on a bagel.
If you like churros I highly suggest getting this

Kiss got a mickey waffle with strawberries which looked pretty amazing too.

The rain stopped fairly quickly, so we were off to tomorrowland to pick up Kiss’s new phone case. On our way over Alish entrained us by telling us all the disney entertainment drama. After getting his phone case we headed to Main street, Alish said it was our last chance to use her discount and I had a shirt in mind that I kept seeing this whole trip…of course when we got to the emporium they were out. So Alish headed to work, it was a quick bye since I would be back in florida in exactly 2 weeks for a family cruise.
Once she let we decided to find a spot for FoF

Have fun on your trip! It’s always a relief to get those loans paid off! Are you getting another AP this year or just the one trip?

After many trips and now living about 13 miles from WDW, I finally tried the school bread. It was great. Now every time I'm in EPCOT, it's hard to pass through Norway and not get one.

IT WAS AMAZING! This churro loving girl loved it!

I had a blast! And I am so happy to be done paying for them. I decided to get another AP, its a good reason for me to say I need to go.

I LOVE SCHOOL BREAD! That is the struggle, I know there are probably so many great snacks in epcot but the school bread is a great price and a great snack.

Yeah Erin refuses to let me sit on the left anymore. Man miss seeing all of my favorite animatronics on the left.

Now It's Time To Say Goodbye

While I love a good frontier land spot for FoF, we have recently been sitting in a new spot right at the end of the parade route. This spot is great if you want to head out of the park right away or if you want a spot thats not very crowded (until the parade starts and the crowds of people wanting to leave start lining up behind you)

While Erin was cool with sitting in the sun waiting for the parade, I could not just sit there. So I headed to tomorrowland to grab some roasted nuts, and too use my last snack credit.
Better paint that mickey fast sir, cause he is going to disappear very quickly in the heat.

I made it back before the parade was even near main street.
And we were all ready for some Festival of Fantasy

    Away we go,
    It’s a Festival of Fantasy!
    Beauty and majesty,
    Shining magically!
    Dreams that glow,
    Wondrous, dazzling brilliantly.
    So, away we go.
    It’s a Festival of Fantasy!

We followed the herd out of the park. But first we stopped in the crowds so Erin could grab her last mickey bar. It took her a solid minute to scarf it down, mainly for the reason that it was practically melted upon getting it.
When we got back to FQ we got our carry ons out of storage and headed right for the pool. We still had some time before the tragical express came to get us. So why not enjoy the pool while we wait. 5 minutes into swimming it started sprinkling, everyone was jumping out of the pool to put their belongings in a safe zone. All our bags were out to get soaked so we placed all of our ponchos over them, which seemed to work once the sprinkle turned into a heavy pour. We had about 10 minutes of swimming in the rain before the whistles were blown and the pool was 101.
At this point every guest had to evacuate the pool area, we were homeless and had no where to go. So we got out bags, some extra towels and headed to the covered seating area outside of the quick service.
The storm passed quickly, and we just waited until we saw the lifeguards head back to the pool. Once they did we got all our things and headed back to the pool. Erin felt weird being the first one in the pool so we waited for more guests to show up (which took a matter of seconds)

An hour passed by, we got changed and decided to head to the front to wait for the bus.

Kiss was the last one to use the rest of his snacks and decided to try the gumbo.
While we sat in the lobby I got that dreaded text from southwest saying that our flight was delayed from 10:20 to 11:20. After learning this I headed into the gift shop hoping that they had blankets for purchase so I could sleep at the airport now that we were be there 4 hours early.
Atlas they didn’t and the tragical express came for us at 7:10
When we arrived at the airport chickfila was a must. And the security guard was shocked that we didn’t have one back home (Luckily for us now we do), since both erin and I had bags full sandwiches.

It was a rough time waiting for our flight, I wanted to sleep but I just couldn’t. But by 11:45pm we were boarding and on our way home

And by a lovely 2am we arrived back home.

And like that our trip came to an end, so much time planning, so little time for it too fly by.
However we had another trip to start planning and I couldn’t wait.

I’ll have to keep that in mind! I plan to watch it with my mom and then we will leave the park-either for a mid-day break or to get ready for tragical express (depending on which day we do it)
