Welcome...so glad you could make it...

Finally after loading on 2600+ photos, I am now ready to guide you thru our 28 fun filled days @ LA, WDW -Pop & Bay Lake Tower, Royal Caribbean Freedom of the seas, WDW, Vegas, LA...flying Air New Zealand and Delta...with food porn..

So lets get started shall we..........

OH Yippee!!!!!!!! I'll be having my "lunch break" (then, what am I doing on here now, you might say?! ) in about half an hour so maybe there will be some reading for me to do - fingers crossed!

In the meantime, I am a proud Kiwi and will give a little to our All-Black Air NZ plane .

I love the way it walks, talks and cuddles me
the way its beautiful white seats cradles me and sings to me as I nap
the way the hosties say pie, six and deck just makes me want to giggle and go mushy inside.....

So, Air new zealand is now the official Australiankaren carrier....I love her, she is my bestest airline now (oh, I am so fickle)

So flew ANZ Premium economy SYD-AKL-LAX

Premium Economy looks very, very comfy! The seats look lovely and squishy

so, the leg room and general space blew us away, you also get business class meals, 2 bag allowance, noise canceling headphones and your own toot......


leg room was amazing, and the seats slide back in their own shell, so no issues of people reclining into your space....

oh ANZ we love you

Stayed 8 hrs at Radisson LAX til our red eye flight to Orlando...was an ok hotel for $63 a night.....the hotel looks a tad tired but was clean, safe and within walking distance to terminal 1 (not that we walked, but we could have)

the most important feature to any hotel is the pool

So I don't have photos of the Delta flight LAX-MCO, but it was ok, we flew first class thanks to my frequent flyer chasing, the flights cost me $290 all inclusive so was pretty happy with that ($145 per person for a rtn LAX-MCO-LAX first class flight)

We also purchased 30 day delta membership, which was fantastic....worth the $90 just in drinks

so, after my ranting and gnashing re POP in previous years, we gave the relationship another try....expecting not a lot, and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed being back. maybe it was because i knew it was only for 2 days...maybe because I was in WDW and would have been happy in a mouldy cupboard at that stage....

anyway, we enjoyed the pop section of our trip......

can you believe how nice it looks at 7 am without the crowds....never been up this early to see it

do not enjoy the bus lines, but had to get to car hire at DTD somehow

my breaky while Dissing.....ah, bagels....and unlimited diet coke...oh how I miss you

10.30 pm food court.....we thought it would be quiet at that time of night...WRONG!!!

For any of those that might book Air NZ Premium Economy, please note that the new Premium Economy "Spaceseat" that Karen flew on, is only on the 777-300's. Air NZ also flys 777-200's to L.A. and they still have the old Premium Economy seats. Air NZ are going to progressively upgrade the 777-200's and 747's to the new seat but that might take a while.

the only problem I can see is that there is NO SHADE and OMG people, hotter than haddes......

the pool looked great, but is gated and key entry only....although I suppose DH could have given me a leg up

the detailing was extraordinary, it really felt like being in the movie, especially the cars area....we were going to see the little mermaid area but DH was melting in the heat and about to throw a tanty....so have to save that for another trip...but check out the cars

if you are staying at AoA its exactly a mirror image re facilities at POP, food court, gift shop etc the same, although the food looked a tad healthier options...and if you have your previous trip mugs/ or other resort mugs, you can use them as they haven't implemented the chip yet

Hey, what do those stairs lead to in the middle photo of your AoA photos?

they are the stairs for that building....each building has stairs at each end plus a lift in the middle....they disguise the staircases the same as they do at pop....

if you want the closest rooms to pool or food court go nemo ..it seems to be the closest....

also, they really seem to monitor the pools, so only resort guests can use it, which is great for those resort guests..no drop ins from pop, but they can use POP pools.

so my DH is NOT a coaster guy, or a spinning guy, or a guy who likes drops...so I convinced him to do the walk thru then chicken door for ToT as the themeing is so good.......

have you taken the time to stop and look, rather than sprint to the door inside??? Well I hadnt until then, so I got to see what the ride really is all about...so next time, stop, go slow and have a look

and then Dh being funny going down in the goods elevator....yep, hes a scream

So with much disappointment on my part we picked up the car...the SUV.....the car that wasnt tiny tiny....he was so happy.....me, not so much as i would have to get my comedy material elsewhere

yup......got nothing, nada, nope...
