Stressful Computer Games

I play games, as you all know, and I have a wide variety of tastes. But primarily, I like games that can make me smile, such as sports games, music games and so on. There are a few "live or die" games I enjoy, such as Resident Evil, but for the most, if you are being chased by zombies all over the place and the whole point of the game is to survive as long as you can, I don't get it. I want to be entertained, not horrified!

Sometimes even innocuous seeming games can stress a person out. I used have a game where the person was a spy on the Titanic. I bought it for its gorgeous recreation of the ship, but I got sucked into the story, which seemed easy enough. Perform some tasks, get a book to the contact, etc. I got the book and was so proud of myself, delivered it to the contact, whereupon he revealed himself to be not my contact, but an evil guy working for the enemy-and he shot and killed my character. That was the last time I played. Too much.

I stick to Legacy Sims now.

I guess it is a little silly saying I like fun games and Resident Evil in the same breath. I think what makes Resident Evil so rewarding are the production values and in depth script. I can't bring myself to play much of it in one sitting though.

My favourite game of all time is Samba De Amigo! - a game for the Dreamcast and Wii, where you shake maracas at varying heights in time to music, great fun!

I had that same Titanic game (well, I still have the game, but I don’t have a compatible computer). I did spend more time touring the ship than playing the game . . .

The Total War games can be stressful to me but I really do enjoy them. I like strategy games that are engaging and require thinking. I hate when the A.I. is to predictable and easy to beat.

Nothing is more stressful to me than multiplayer FPS games. I had to permanently mute my mic/voice chat in general since it got way too much.

Hollow knight keeps bring me back… I think I’ve played it 3 times. Dead cells was pretty fun too. Elden ring was so frustrating but I couldn’t put it down… I miss EverQuest 2 back before it became pay to win or a giant time suck.

The earlier Call of Duty games of Veteran level are pretty tough - the newer ones with less story modes not so much.

The first Gears of War of the hardest level (Hardcore?), I forget what they call it, but getting past the Final boss on the train was pretty stressful and took way too much of my time

Sometimes being kept on edge is what games are all about. I like different experiences with games, some relaxing, some kind of breezy and light, some action packed, some thinky, some suspenseful - they can all be fun though!

My video game days were in the old-school era - Tetris, PacMan, Centipede, Space Invaders...

I guess you could say there was a little stress as each level got faster and faster, but nothing like the games of today.

I don't play FPS games at all. - That would just be borrowing an ulcer for me.

Dota 2 and league of legends and https://www.pashacasinosikayet.com/ are always stressful computer games for me. Especially in ranked games. Having played it since 2014 I would say It looks more like a job for me to up in ranked than just to have fun. But it is what it is

LOl is flat out toxic. And if you really want toxic, try playing on EU's server.

Just remember the two LOL rules.
Rule 1. It's always the support's fault.
Rule 2. The jungler is just another support.

When your mid laner thinks he's Faker but he's just fake. Jungler's fault.
When your ADC thinks he's double lift but he's double int, Support's fault.

We spent an afternoon here on a recent trip to Portland;

You'd love it. All the classic video games from my youth plus more pinball games than you could ever imagine.
If I had my way, this would be replacing the NBA experience in DS.
It would compete with a couple of other local vintage arcades and pinball places (i.e. Dezerland Park). But, that is exactly the type of place I could enjoy an air-conditioned afternoon at. Especially at DS knowing I'm not driving anywhere should when I get game frustrated, and the bar is close-by.

Should clarify - "my youth" would be 80's. Video games were different back then. Games like Commando, Pole Position, Pac-Man, Donkey-Kong, Joust, Centipede, that era. Frustrating - yes, but stressful? Not as much as the FPS games my kids grew up with.
