Splitsville Part 1:
We actually made a reservation although it was completely unnecessary. This time we got seated upstairs at a window that overlooked the AMC theater and the new eatery that is under construction.
I got, what I think is, an underated appetizer that could easily feed 2+ people. The Macho Nachos are full of flavor and don't skimp on the beef or any other ingredient. But, to offset that with something a little more healthy, we opted for the steamed edamame. We also opted to the spicy chili sauce on the side (a must if you forgo the salt like we did).
The edamame was average, but paired with the chili sauce and you have something that makes it a solid appetizer. It was served with a bowl upside down that, when lifted, released a heap of steam; that's not what I expected to see from a bowling alley eatery.
The nachos are my vote for best snack at DS. Now I haven't done a ton of snacks at DS, but this is 100% always on my to do list for a lunch/snack at DS. I've had this now 3 times and it never disappoints.
We had a wonderful boyfriend/girlfriend server team that wanted us to come back to Splitsville the next day for dinner. We made some new friends.
