Spaceship earth ride closure someone jumped off the ride

A long time ago when I worked at Tower of Terror, a kid wanted to have extra airtime, so he buckled his seatbelt and hid the extra "slack" from the CM checking. When they got to the drop shaft, I had to Lift Stop while it was moving, causing the ride to go down, cause the kid was like flying. They had to re-ride the entire elevator, except for that kid. He sat with our manager lol

Is that why the CM has you raise both hands after buckling up on TOT? We were just wondering what that was for.

When we stalled at the end of Splash Mountain, there was a backup right at the end of 'Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah', and some girl wriggled out (and back in) to her log to take a selfie with Brer Rabbit (I think). Some woman came out of the walls (literally) and escorted her and the rest of her log off the ride. I'm assuming it was a mix between breaking the rules and the fact that she could wriggle out of her seat meant something was wrong with the lap bar on that log. Needless to say I was kinda jealous because we ended up being backed up in log-traffic for like another fifteen minutes.

:lmao:

We always joke about CMs popping up out of nowhere, but that is hysterical.

I sometimes see a warning sign & think, "Who would do that, anyway? Do people really need to be told not to do X?" I then think of things I've read online & remember that the answers are always "plenty of people" & "yes."

When we were teens (girls!) we used to load into the log flume normally at Six Flags Great Adventure. While the ride was moving (slowly) but way up in the air, my friend would scamper up to the front so we had all 3 of us in the front section to get a larger splash. Not by actually exiting the log, but by climbing over the seat. We did this many times. We were completely insane to do this, I realize NOW, 40+ years later.

I actually saw some guys stand up on the Peoplemover, while it was moving around CoP. They were trying to touch the roof or something. The ride got stopped until they sat back down. They did it again going by the indoor section of Buzz. My kids, who were all under 8 at the time, started yelling at them to sit down because you can't stand up on a ride. Pretty sad when kids follow the rules better than YAs.
