Wow. I'm glad you didn't have much damage besides the fallen tree. Even cleaning that up is a big job.
The Clean up as you know is a pain for sure. I’am so thankful no damage to the house.

hope your nursing spidey sense is xorewxt and you know what's ailing you dh. I'll be sending both of you healing light and thoughts.
We will find out if the specialist confirms my RN Spidey senses today. Thank you for your healing light and thoughts.

Robo that’s quite a stormy day yikes. We have lots of trees on our property too and I hate high winds, makes me very nervous.
We decided to keep all the trees around our property to enjoy the wildlife. It has been a bit a blessing and a curse with all the debris after the storms.

Lynne I have been on thyroid meds for over 40 years.
This will only be my second time my levels are wonky and have to go with an adjustment.
Mac hope you are able to get your dosage of meds for your thyroid figured out.

Today he showed up with an assistant. He “hired” his younger brother to help out. He has already had shirts made with his business name and even has a slogan. This kid is only 13. He says he wants to be a professional landscaper. I don’t doubt that he will succeed.
Sounds like a young entrepreneur.

I got my new wand display stand yesterday.
Nice wand display to display your Ollivander wand.

Thanks. I still can’t believe I bought a wand.
I have bought a few for myself and family. They are a nice keepsake.

Good morning. I don’t feel like doing anything today. Unfortunately I have a pile of laundry that’s not going to clean itself. Not the most fin way to spend a holiday.

I will join you in the feels like doing nothing idea today. I need to get motivated or maybe not.

I hope that Janet and family were able to get their flights on time and arrived at their vacation destination.

Sue continuing to send you get well wishes.

Storms again yesterday evening. Both were forewarned with the tornado sirens. I don‘t remember so many back to back storms in the same day as we have had past few days.

All the tree and debris was cleaned up on Friday from back to back storms on Wednesday. There was another huge limb cleaned up from storm on Saturday Yesterday.

The two storms that came through yesterday also took down a huge tree limb. I’am over the storms already. As I say that we will be burning up this month and in August and I will be wanting rain.

Hubby has his appt with specialist this afternoon. So hopefully we will have some more answers.

Dad was admitted to hospital on Thursday. He had bronchitis and some of the meds he was taking caused him to go into Atrial Fib. They were able to get him to go back into Normal Sinus Rhythm with meds finally. We were thankful he did not have to be Cardioverted. He is doing better.

I made a meatloaf and put it in the refrigerator. Just need to pop it in the oven for dinner this evening. I will make a salad and some mash potatoes closer to meal time.

Not much else going on today. I think I will take a short nap before we leave today. Not sure why I‘am so sleeping already.

Have a wonderful Monday everyone.

Wow, Robo, between your damaging storms, I am glad to hear DH may get answers and heals soon, and scary, why your dad had to get meds for, and sending good thoughts and well wishes mummy dust to both your DH and dad. Stay safe, and with our storms yesterday, two tornadoes confirmed in the middle of my state. Ripped roofs off, and some trees down. Luckily, no loss of life. These summer storms can be so dangerous.

Hmm, little one is up. Thinking she wants to do some grocery shopping. See, she, and we, like to eat rice. We have none. And I know little one would like to buy some, as it’s a staple in our pantry. And since it’s lunchtime, I can see her wanting to get lunch somewhere. Plus, if we go to the further grocery store, it’s not that far from a dairy farm store we like to go to. Think I’ll ask if she wants to hit them both. Hopefully we are almost ready.

Hope all are having a good day. And wash? Yeah, did that before I took my shower this morning. I tend to do wash at least a few times a week. Usually like to do it on my lazy days.

Robo….sounds like you had a lot of work you had to clear out due to the storms.

That had to have been scary to live through.

Did you lose any power?

I send you mummy dust your husband is doing better.

Another trip to Ocala for us in the works and hope we can finish up major things in 7-8 -9 days.
Not sure yet of length of time we will be there.
Need to hire out a mowing service and contact an agency to get a sold sign on the home.

Everything will fall into place soon.
No idea how backed up probate will be, but do know it is a lengthy amount of time for that hurdle.

Will be thrilled when I can put the house on the market.
Hope next year at this time, won’t have 2 houses to deal with.

Weather here is great since we have the ac on 24 hours a day and stay inside the house.

I pulled up the weather for Orlando and … what can I say .. stinking hot there.

I am sure summer crowds will fill the parks.
July is the one month that I have never gone to Florida.

How many peeps here go to Orlando or parts of Florida in the summer?

The neighbors next to our house has about another week and their corn crop will be ready to pick.

We have done a tomato garden a few years back, but not any more.
Lots of vegetable stands near our house.
We just buy from them.

Well I have counted noses and see we have quite a few missing homies.

Please check in and come back home!
You are truly missed here!

Taking a little break. I finally got my floors cleaned today. I had to run out to Walmart and get some more floor cleaner. I also needed laundry detergent. I got to the check out and discovered that someone had ripped the bar code off the detergent bottle. It was the only bottle of that size left and I didn't want to go back and get one of the huge bottles, so I just left it with an employee. I'll do laundry until I run out of detergent and then go buy some somewhere else.

Between the noisy rain and a restless bedmate, I may be napping later today.
Sounds like a good plan. Our storms didn't last too long last night. Today is partly sunny and humid.

I will join you in the feels like doing nothing idea today. I need to get motivated or maybe not.
I wanted to have a lazy day, but have too much that needs to get done.

Hubby has his appt with specialist this afternoon. So hopefully we will have some more answers.
Hope you get some good news today.

Prayers that he continues to improve.

Yeah, did that before I took my shower this morning. I tend to do wash at least a few times a week. Usually like to do it on my lazy days.
I always wait until I am almost out of everything before I do laundry. I probably shouldn't do that. I only do my laundry though, dh and B take care of their own.

My facebook memories reminded me of an event from 19 years ago. Dh had gone to his mother's house for the weekend to help her clean out her attic. on the morning of July 3 B and I both work up very early. On the spur of the moment I decided that we would go to the North Carolina Zoo. It was about a 2.5 hour drive from where we were living and we had never been before. Mac, you posted while I was posting.
I lived through several Miami summers and am not to keen on going back to FL during the summer. Even September will probably be to warm for me, but if it is like last time, I will do park stuff in the morning and relax att he hotel in the evening.

Good luck with the probate and the house situation. Hopefully it won't drag out too long for you.

Buckeev: Present and accounted for.
Hope everyone’s doing OK and staying cool. Getttin’ rather toasty here in SETX!
I’ve been fighting an “ear thing” for the majority of the past week and it ain’t been fun at all! Finally clearing up, so Gage and I should be “clear-for-takeoff” to Cincinnatti/Dayton later this week…(taking him to a character convention…Some of y’all know how much he loves characters!)
Be Safe SAN’rs!

Be sure to tell Gage I know he will have a great time!
He will be dazzled by all the characters he sees.

Make sure you have that cc out so he can buy as many characters he can carry.

You both will have an awesome time!
Safe travels!

Awesome to do those characters conventions, Buckeev. I had an ear infection, and is cleared, so glad to hear your ear is good now too. Have fun in Ohio. Hot there too.

Charade, yeah even at the end of September, still is hot in the Orlando area. Just some nights and mornings can be a little cooler. Have always worn shorts and was never cold the whole time on my HHN nights.

Ooh, DH had to go get gas, then called to see what little one and I wanted from the water ice place. Now I have a brain freeze.

We did grocery shopping and of course, first went to a quick service burger place for a late lunch. Went to the dairy farm store, and ended up with milk, cream, butter and the cheapest priced eggs I have seen in years. They look so good and bright white. Probably came from the farm too. And ooh, with the virus, they had stopped selling fresh scooped ice cream cones. Saw they were back to selling them. If both of us were not so full from a burger and fries, we would have ordered. Next time we decide to go there, like in 2 weeks, as saw down the street a farm market to be in 2 Sunday away, we will try to be hungry enough for a cone. They are always a nice big serving. And their ice cream is delicious.

Sigh, with that late lunch, and the water ice, I’m not hungry. Guess a later dinner for us. All are off for the holiday tomorrow. How nice is that.

@Charade67 love the wand stand!

@Robo soooo many storms eek! Glad your dad is ok. It’s surprising how many people have A Fib. Hope your husbands dr appt goes well and he gets some answers.
Enjoy your nap. Sometimes you just fade so give into the nap! I’m feeling a bit sl eepy myself. Meatloaf is a big hit here! I think we’ll just snack tonight on leftovers. We had a bi g lunch with bacon, and eggs Benny my daughter made. So good.

@Charade67 lovely memory of the zoo! So cute daughter still has the stuffie. I hate it when the tag/barcode is missing when I get up to the till. So annoying. Ummm I think Sept is still summer weather in Orlando lol!

@macraven ive been going to Florida so long in summer! I w orked in our school district and had summers off. So I’d go to see my parents at that time. And then discovered the theme parks! Lol. Now I’m retired but still go in August  The past 2 yrs because my oldest works in daycare and she gets August off. And she usually goes with me on one trip.
I did enjoy late Feb weather this past year. Went for Mardi Gras and weather was nice. Then went down south to Deerfield Beach for wedding and still great weather. Lucky cause next week weather turned bad. I’m one of those people who tolerate heat well. My husband does not and won’t go To hot humid locations.
Hope the trip to Ocala goes well and estate gets wrap up without problems.

@buckeev  have fun at the convention. Glad the ear infection has cleared so good to go!

@Lynne G oh yum! I love farm store icecream. When we go to Harrison Hot Springs the dairy farm stop is mandatory. They have a farm store and love the cheeses and icecream. I bring crackers with us and buy cheese to have for appies before dinner. And of course some cheese to take home! Such a treat. So many varieties of cheeses I want to get them all!

Beautiful sunny day here. It’s a 4 day weekend for most. Youngest did her eggs Benny. They turned out fabulous. We had mimosa‘s too. Ate on the patio. It was lovely. Her bff and husband came too. I’m still full. The Benny‘s were very rich. And she also did up some thick bacon.
We have a leftover steak from last nights dinner. My daughter & I can’t eat a whole steak do we share one. I’ll slice it thin and have with salad.

@pumpkin were you near the latest tornado? Stay safe.

Happy July 4th tomorrow pixiedust:

Woot, always checking prices of my trips. Best pricing of everything for September so far. Just got a 46 dollar drop in airfare for August though. Woot to more credit to use in another trip. Otherwise, hotel more expensive then booked and so far rate for suv rental the best I have so far, no change, but the premium I also booked for 5 dollars less than suv, now 20 dollars higher than I booked. Still tossed as to what to keep in rental. Has anyone seen any Toyota vehicles on the premium line at Alamo’s MCO lot? Says a maxima or other. Maxima a premium car? Eh I guess.

We ended up going to a pizza place. Leftover for older one. I wish he’d let me know to save food for him or not. Sone days he comes home saying he’s starving, other, when we do save food for him, says he already got food so don’t want it. Frustrating.

You never know what you’ll end up with lol. I rented from Avis last March, at PBH desk. site said VW Passat I think? Whatever the premuim VW is. But I ended up with a Cadillac. I think the terminology they use is a xyz or Similar being the key word.

Thanks Sue. I might just stick with the 4 dollar higher difference in total, and try to see if we can find the RAV4 we luckily have found the last 2 times we rented the compact suv category via Costco Travel. Guess I still have lots of time to continue to stalk a better rate, and decide which reservation I’ll put on my Alamo account, to then be able to go straight to the cars.

I am full. Older one should be coming home soon. There is both leftover from the pizza place, and yesterday’s picnic.

Phone says light rain falling.

I use Costco too! I lost count of how many times I rebooked! First time Avis was cheapest. Usually I book Alamo.
I needed rental to get from Universal south to Lauderdale. My last day at PBH I went down to Avis desk and asked if I could pick up at hotel. He checked with manager and said yes! And would honour MCO price!
Leftovers for us too.

We had more thunderstorms again tonight. They didn’t last long but apparently took out my cable and internet. We had to resort to watching a DVD tonight. Singin in the Rain- my all time favorite movie.

Gage and I should be “clear-for-takeoff” to Cincinnatti/Dayton later this week…(taking him to a character convention…Some of y’all know how much he loves characters!)
What kind of character convention?

Went to the dairy farm store, and ended up with milk, cream, butter and the cheapest priced eggs I have seen in years. They look so good and bright white. Probably came from the farm too. And ooh, with the virus, they had stopped selling fresh scooped ice cream cones.
I wish we had a store like that near us. Nothing beats fresh ice cream. I do know of a somewhat local dairy, but I think they are an hour or more away.

Ummm I think Sept is still summer weather in Orlando lol!
We still had summer in December sometimes in Miami. I can remember being in the pool with B while my friend in Minnesota was shoveling snow.

Woot, always checking prices of my trips. Best pricing of everything for September so far. Just got a 46 dollar drop in airfare for August though.
Great news on the price drop. I keep hoping the rates out of my city will drop so I can switch flights. Unfortunately nothing has come close to my fare out of Richmond.

Carolwinds NC made our news :scared: Showing huge crack in the coaster metal frame. Terrifying. I hope you don’t go there.
I had not heard about that. Very scary stuff. I wonder why the coaster inspectors didn’t catch it. I have driven by Carowinds several times but have never been to the park.

I will be up a while longer. I have one last load of laundry in the dryer. I think tomorrow will be my lazy day.

Yea, that coaster crack news was all over our local news too. Scary when thankfully that coaster support crack didn’t compromise the ride that the picture taker was taking of the ride going over it. Yeah and management said they inspect every day. Someone is going to have to explain how it was missed. Very thankful a patron brought it to the park’s attention before a tragic accident. Though park is not that far from us, we have never been. BGW is the only park in VA we have been to.

Sue, nice of Avis to honor price, and get car right at hotel. I tend to stick to Alamo, but have done Hertz and National when price was better. But lately. Alamo has been lowest. I also tend to refuse to book at most of the other rental car companies.

Happy 4th of July to all. DH asked my plans today. Um not much. Maybe will walk down to the 125th year the parade has been going. Maybe not, as oh so muggy out and warm. 88 degrees the high. And as the weather news said this morning, muggy weather fires up thunderstorms. Like phone gives 10 to 50 percent rain chances from 2 pm to 10pm. Eh, at least we don’t have that heat advisory Orlando area issued this morning. But we will get our first heat wave, barely, both ways. Shortest, and just at 90 degrees the high the next 3 days. Then back into the high 80’s. Ah. summer has finally arrived here.

But as most retail is open today, Mac may still get her Taco Bell meal this holiday Taco Tuesday.

IMG_1669.jpeg Hehe. Yep, all can enjoy a taco or two on on a Taco Tuesday on this holiday 4th of July. Easy meal to take to a parade or watch fireworks. Just saying. ::yes::

Hope Keisha is having a blast of wonderful family fun, and staying cool. Pool time and multiple times on water rides time of year.

Oooh time to make those scrambled eggs, which I will make cheesy with red pepper pieces in it.

Good morning all.

Happy 4th of July.

Did MK holiday FW yesterday.

Why, yes, I did inadvertently catch a hidden Mickey!
Didn’t head into park until 4 pm. It was 103 F. Actual temp. If not for the kiddo, I probably would’ve waited an hour or two

At 11 pm close, still busy. Epcot today. Nose out of joint we didn’t get Guardians at 7 am. First time in ages. Sucked it up & bought lightening lane for those two. I’ll Sit somewhere cool

still don’t think I’m ready for HHN. I wonder what my boss would say about the dream since I was at work in the dream.
U work at right place for that lol
Does anyone here watch the show Jeopardy?
I watch it daily and never know how some can answer almost all the questions.
Only (barely) can tolerate one of new hosts
Im chilling at home. Yesterday spent afternoon on patio watching Queen Charlotte on Netflix in between icing. Trying to get thru the pain. Only have Tylenol. DH made me bacon & eggs this morning.
Ow hang in there. Never saw so many mini Canadian flags, most stuck in woman’s hair as an accessory
Today he showed up with an assistant. He “hired” his younger brother to help out. He has already had shirts made with his business name and even has a slogan. This kid is only 13. He says he wants to be a professional landscaper. I don’t doubt that he will succeed.
There’s a job for everyone lol
it’s getting difficult finding gardeners! We had same guy for a few years, then 2 yrs ago he moved
I’ve hung onto mine for 33 years…Call him husband lol. He enjoys it, thank God
I used to be fearful of HHN, but now I like it and even went by myself a couple of nights
You certainly did take to it!
Lynne I’m a jumper! And would probably scream. Hate things jumping out at me! If I’m at the movie and there’s an unexpected scare and I’m holding the popcorn, everyone’s wearing it!
I good jump start gets the blood going. I’m an easy scare but, love it
Hubby has his appt with specialist this afternoon. So hopefully we will have some more answers.
Good luck!
will fall into place soon
It will, time is on your side here
ive been going to Florida so long in summer! I w orked in our school district and had summers off. So I’d go to see my parents at that time. And then discovered the theme parks! Lol. Now I’m retired but still go in August
Like a moth to a flame lol. Akin ti
childbirth, you forget about the unpleasantries and sign back up

Yay. Live report from Keisha. Yeah as noted above, saw you got a heat advisory. Yep, shade and AC, the two needed when in hot weather. And like Sue, due to school when kids were school age, we did end of summer for years. And also due to August birthdays, we have done August trips many many years. That’s our excuses anyway. And since we went in January, May and going in August and September, highly thinking may try for December too. Nothing like an AP holder. Hope you have fun in Epcot today. At least most of the buildings there have AC. And ugh, but at least you got the paid fast passes for the rides.

Hehe, brother called, asked if my kids would let his one dog out, as he’s busy until late afternoon. Said well, if dog can wait until around 10 or 10:30, neither kid has been seen. Neither are early risers.

Ooh more tea for me? House is nice and cool. And DH at his desk doing an on demand video class. He has his laptop so loud, I’ve heard most of it, even with my tv on.

Good Morning Sans family

Did you lose any power?
Yes we did. On Wednesday lost power for 3 hours. Then lost phone and internet for a few hours on Saturday.

I send you mummy dust your husband is doing better.
Thank you Mac.

Another trip to Ocala for us in the works and hope we can finish up major things in 7-8 -9 days.
Not sure yet of length of time we will be there.

I hope all goes well in getting the home in Ocala ready for the market and probate goes well.

How many peeps here go to Orlando or parts of Florida in the summer?
I‘am usually there back and forth over the summer.

Prayers that he continues to improve.
Thank you Charade.

We spent almost the entire day there. Before we left we went into the gift shop. I told B she could pick a toy to take home. She chose a small, stuffed panda which she named Baby Panda. Sounds like a wonderful memory.

Good to see you post Buckeev hope the ear issue continues to heal up.

Enjoy your time with Gage at the Character Convention.

soooo many storms eek! Glad your dad is ok. It’s surprising how many people have A Fib. Hope your husbands dr appt goes well and he gets some answers.

Sue I hope you are doing better everyday. Continued healing prayers being sent your way dear lady.

Yes, A Fib is pretty common place now with some folks.

Husbands doc appt went well. The doc spent almost an hour with him and was very kind and professional and answered all our questions. Pretty unheard of in this day and age. The doc ordered some more tests. We were very impressed.

Eggs Benedict is one of my favorite breakfasts. Sound like your family is looking after you well. So good to hear.

Why, yes, I did inadvertently catch a hidden Mickey!
Didn’t head into park until 4 pm. It was 103 F. Actual temp. If not for the kiddo, I probably would’ve waited an hour or two
Yes, you did get a perfect firework hidden Mickey. Good to see you all got in to Orlando. There is a lot of information on the news about people being stranded at the airports and flights being cancelled past few days.

Enjoy your time in the parks. Stay hydrated. Cute photo of your granddaughter with the Mickey balloons.

Not much planned today. The sun is shinning and no storms predicted for the day. High today supposed to be 91.

We have had fireworks going off at night around here until about midnight past few nights. It will be worse tonight of course.

The little town we live in puts on a nice fireworks display, but probably won‘t go see them as it is going to be pretty warm This evening. The Fireworks are set off down by the River. We don’t live far from the River.

Son, daughter in law and grandson came over for meatloaf dinner yesterday evening. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Hubby and I stopped at Fresh Market after his doc appt on the way home and he saw a Cherry and Apple pie he liked. So that is what they had for dessert and they said the pies were yummy.

Stay safe and Enjoy the 4th everyone.
