Me the author 52
wife 43 ( birthday was on this trip)
This was my 23nd trip & wife's 13th

We had an amazing time, we were in Disney Sept 22 and since then only TRON opened and wife loved it I did not care for it.
Crowds were decent.
Got to go to MOONLIGHT MAGIC at Studios and that was sweet. Lots of free treats.
Eating for me was still tough, since my everyday diet is OMAD (one meal a day, 23 hours fasting) it was a struggle but I was hurting.
We split foods as usual and love doing it like that.
Lots of grub to look at so enjoy. Any questions just ask!
SO MANY PIC'S COMING over the next week. I will post ASAP.
So sit tight, grab a drool bib and put on your stretchy pants.

HERE ARE MY PAST TRIP REPORTS FOR ANYONE WHO MISSED THEM:
2022 Sept
2022 Jan
2021
2020
2018
2010
2008
2007
2006
2005

Always got to grab the refillable mug at the start of every trip. We always keep it in our daily park bag

so when at other resorts we have more soda options. Riviera has the freestyle machines and they really
need to put them in all the resorts ASAP

Okay here we go.

Wilderness Lodge
Roaring Forks:

WL roaring fork tuna.jpg
Had a hankering for some tuna with the meatloaf and sure it's very odd
but I like protein with my protein and I require more. So tuna it was.
Not bad would have enjoyed some PICKLES with it but for some insane
reason Roaring Forks have none. The horror.
WL roaring fork meatloaf.jpg
Speaking of meatloaf this was surprisingly good. Spuds also top notch.
peas could have used butter and seasoning but it will do. not sure why it's
served in this oddball plastic tray, but if it was for kitchen prep please toss it on
a plate, looks like I was eating at a prison camp. The biscuit that came with it
should be served to prisoners since it was a friggin crime.
Soup was excellent and very much like the one at Riviera Primo Piatto which is a very
good thing.

WL roaring fork burger.jpg
Beefy garbage, I know the one outside at Geyser is better but we didn't feel like grabbing
from both spots. Live and learn. they should be flogged for serving this POS.

WL roaring fork fries.jpg
Fries came with the burger. Meh. they are Disney fries.
WL roaring fork claw.jpg
Tried this one morning since it was new and others raved about it.
Tossed almost all of it. Worst treat of the trip. Whoever thinks this is good
is no friend of mine.

WINEBAR GEORGE

We never bothered trying Winebar for some reason or another and the wife wanted this for
her birthday dinner. So she gets what she likes.
Winebar frozcato.jpg

Wife likes frozen drinks at times and this one she loved.
I don't like booze but for review purposes I had a baby sip. Nope.
Winebar cheese.jpg
Always seen this on videos and heard it was good. Yup it was.
gotta eat quick before the cheese cools but great flavors.
Sure a square of flaming cheese and a couple of bread ends really did
cost $17
Wine Bar skirt steak.jpg
Fancy angle
Wine Bar skirt steak 1.jpg
We split it and it was superb. Loved both sauces and steak was cooked and seasoned
with an magic touch. Potatoes and bok choy are a great accompaniment.
Only downer is the cost for the amount of meat. But would still get it again.
I love George's meat in our mouths. It was meaty....We will return!

Saratoga Turf Club Lounge ( twice)

Turf club lounge burger.jpg
1st time fully dressed. Always a stupendous burger. One of my top 3 in Disney

Turf club lounge burgers.jpg
Was only wanting some meat and was able to order just 2 patties a la carte and the chef was
awesome doing so. Love it oh so much. Yes I know $17 for just 2 beefy goodness slabs is
much but I gotta.

TONY'S TOWN SQUARE

We vowed to never eat here, but after a few good looking new dishes we said
"why not". Not really we said "F it", why not. whats the worst it could be?
Tony's menu.jpg
the helpful menu to let everyone know what Tony got.

Tony's fried mozz.jpg
Yup these long shafty cheesy tubers were huge. good thing we split em.
They tasted good and if it was served HOT would have been better. Not worth sending
back. The place was loud as a bus terminal.

Tony's salad bread.jpg
Salad was meh. nothing worth it there.
The garlic bread was a real banger. Loved it but the parm sauce makes the dish.

Tony's chicken parm.jpg
Big portions and we paid $2 extra for the alfredo. we are not pasta peps so we just thought
it was passable only had a few bites.
The chicken was good for where we were, did have to send it back the
first time. Chicky was a bit pink. the server tried to tell me it was pink cause of the overnight
marinade. This dude ain't no chump, not falling for that one lady.
Glad we split one entree since we were so disgustingly full. I am glad we tried it finally.
This Tony guy was not to shabby.

TAMU TAMU (twice)

Tamu sign.jpg
A sign of things to come

Tamu sundae 1.jpg
1st time

Tamu sundae 2.jpg
2nd time

We recently seen this new treat pop up at Animal kingdom and
sure glad we got it twice. It was perfect and so dang delicious.
We hope it stays around for good or at least till December when we come back.
The pineapple flavor is not over powering and the crumbles are perfect as was the
ice cream.

Monorail Crawl: 2nd stop ( Contempo Cafe had nothing of interest)
POLYNESIAN
TAMBU LOUNGE

We loved this last Sept trip and this time not so much

Tambu Pina colava.jpg
Wife loved it. I thought it was tolerable.

Tambu ppt stickers.jpg
they were okay, but much better last Sept.

Tambu wings.jpg
Barley okay. I asked for crispy and this is what they thought of that.
Flavor was weak and not meaty. Last Sept world of difference
We will not bother coming back.

Monorail Crawl: 3rd and last stop

GASPARILLA GRILL

GF Gasparilla burger.jpg
Decent burger, a bit over cooked. I still enjoyed it.
Fries, the usual bit here. Good bacon. Bun was okay.

GF Gasparilla Mac cheese.jpg
After so many praises about the mac & cheese we were excited......to only be let the F down.
Whom thinks this is good stuff? YOU or YOU? don't be foolish, this was crap in a paper bowl.
Also why serve chips with mac? is someone insane in the menu review board. how about a
green veggie perhaps.

GF Gasparilla coconut .jpg
This made up for the sad mac & cheese. Michelle & Todd from
Traveling around Disney mentioned this before and they were CORRECT.
Loved it. Fantastic as Todd says and he is spot on. This is truly worthy.
