Anyone have difficulty getting an agent at Small World Vacations to answer their emails?

I haven't. In fact, I just got off the phone with Deanna booking my trip for Nov 2014. She has been really great to work with. Give her a try.

I just got an email from someone who said they were backed up since 2014 rates just came out and thanked me for my patience. She also gave me information that I think is wrong, so I was hoping that I might be able to swich to someone else. Maybe I'll wait a few weeks for things to settle down and try again.

I've been working with Carrie Johnson at SWV. She is very, very nice and also very responsive...she answers emails promptly, provides not only complete answers but the explanation behind it so you get all the info...she's fantastic. She even gives me time on the phone to talk and can answer any question I've put to her, even about resorts, dining, etc. Very knowledgeable, prompt and sweet.

She just finalized our WDW trip for January yesterday & today, but spoke on the phone & email both days. This afternoon she's leaving on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks so it may not be the best time to catch her (she said she'll be periodically checking in with work while in Hawaii!) but I recommend her highly. I used her services in 2012 and although we had to postpone that vacation until 2014 for personal reasons, she did a great job then too.

I've worked with her in the past, she was wonderful.

It's SO much easier to book it yourself! That way if you have any changes or just making reservations, you can do it. If you need help with deciding on a resort just ask the boards.

We worked with Lynne to book the cruise portion of our vacation several weeks ago. She said she would be in touch about booking the DisneyWorld portion once the new rates came out. I emailed her on Wednesday but still haven't heard back from her (not even an email to say she's busy). Not sure if I should book on my own or keep waiting. Or contact another agent?

Have you tried calling the agent or contacting the main office? My TA from SW told me that they had some email issues around early July and apologized when she realized my email didn't go into her inbox and hadn't checked her spam folder over the July 4th weekend

Small World Vacations (and Dreams Unlimited) Travel Agents specialize in Disney travel. There's no cost to the traveler, but there's the convenience factor. Sure, I could make my own reservations... if I'm sure I'm going to be at the computer or have time to stay on the phone right when the reservation lines open.

Or I could trust my experienced, trained, certified Disney Travel Specialist to do it for me. And to apply any new appropriate discounts that may become available. Or just answer a dew questions I may feel too awkward asking online...

Yes. And wrong information. Which is why I book my own trips now.

We're working with Sherri for a second time & love her! She has handled our reservations twice now & it's been wonderful. I book all my ADRs, but she's got the logistics of everything else. I highly recommend a Disney TA! :)

I had the same problem with Small World, but that was three years ago. It left a bad taste in my mouth about using a TA.
I'm testing the TA waters again with my solo trip in February, but with a different agency this time.

I have used Carrie Johnson for the past 5-6 WDW and Disney Cruise bookings I have done. I *****-heartedly agree with the above post. She is such a pleasure to work with and has never steered me in the wrong direction with anything. 1000% recommendation!

Kathy is our agent at Small World Travel and we just love her. She booked our last trip to WDW and DCL and she did a fantastic job. Was always available and prompt and went above and beyond many times. We will use her for all of our Disney vacations :thumbsup2

Hmm. I'd like to know how this thread is still open... Usually talk of other agencies gets closed down real fast..,
